  2. My sentiments exactly. You swing an axe and it could be pretty nasty my daughter is 7 and done loads with me but dont fancy letting her loose with an axe. They have loads of time learn such skills.

  4. Hi folks Just a question has anyone on here had experiance with clip in boilers for hunter stoves? I have a hunter 8 and am wondering if i could pipe it up to run some heating. I do not have any heating other than the stove so time to get some sorted. As i have a good supply of wood why put gas in and pay a fortune? Thanks for looking TM

  15. i have a silverline splitting maul its split tonnes of wood,shaft came off i put it back on an chucked it in a bucket of water. was fine until i bust shaft on it then i bought a hickory one and its fine if you are wanting a wedge buy a wedge imo use the tool for the job its made for

  19. we buy red from local garage and its only 90p per litre . if your using a tractor for arb work does that have to have white in it?
  20. from reading this thread it seems to me that the dealers could possibly not be setting the saws up prior to handing them to the users. the few main dealers mentioned on here havnt seemed to have many returned!
  21. ive been told that oak sawdust makes egg yolks turn green i havnt tried it but someone could enlighted me if its right or wrong:)

  23. if your removing the rocks or should i say the wife is.why not get it ground out or even a percentage of it less back breaking work.
  24. look into what stuardship grants are available.SSSI sites and other for less favourable areas. Worth a try just to ask. traditional meadows etc etc
