  1. Nfu want £740 for my navara this year. 10 years no claims 8 of which with nfu. I'm going to ring around other offices but Royston seems to be fleasing me.
  2. Yes i saw that too. I've seen drive trailers push themselves and the valmet their on out of deep snow and wet mud over in Finland. Never driven one myself though. Just make sure you have a big enough tractor or than can wind up the back end.
  3. Slower than Botex?
  4. I knew a Moheda with a 6m on it would be around 50k but i had no idea the Palms would be around 25k. That is Botex money. Who may i ask is selling these trailers at such a price? The palms have a nice ladder chassis, a +/- 40 degree steering draw bar and the rams are very well guarded. Also has a breaking link between the extension and the rotor. The legs are quite substantial too. It was very well built. The hydraulic tank is right behind the headboard though and i think it could do with a bump plate in front of it. KTS and Vreten also might be worth a look. Saw both at the same demo and they're very good. Again slightly less well know brands. The KTS trailers come well specd and the Vreten had some very nice little features on them.
  5. I saw the Palms 15d at the SIMA show earlier in the year. It looked very good didn't ask on price though. What about a Moheda trailer and crane? Or one of the new Farma G2 trailers.
  6. Depends on what the buyer will pay for them. Somewhere in the region of 20-60 a tonne depending on what your cutting. Quality determines price more size. Saying that if you can get a decent top diameter say over 40cm at a 5m then you do have some good logs. Assuming they make the grade.
  7. I've got a picture of a JD hydraulic pipe that runs along the top of the boom then goes to hoses to the rotor. A replacement from Deere was 1800 odd euros!!
  8. How things Will?
  9. How many hours have you done? I'd be careful lifting the cab up in case you stretch all the wiring looms and then you'll have faults all over the place. Is it a gear box leak coming from the seal behind the propshaft?
  10. I'm sure there is a round figure of eight type thing with a tail coming off of the middle.
  11. Had a demo of one a while ago. It's an old school saw lots of torque and grunt rather than the quick power of the 560. Its more like a 365 than a 560. I did like it a lot but i didn't think the AV system was all that.
  12. I do think it looks odd. Maybe it is the tyres that make it weird. I wouldn't of put such a large crane up on the roof and i'd not put it on a 150 either. I've seen similar sized harvester cranes mounted on the JAKE plate on smaller tractors though. i'd have a tank on the front of valtra or you will run out hydraulic. Especially if you go out 9m and you're slightly uphill.
  13. where abouts i don't see it.
  14. I should of got your old one when it was up for sale rather than dither till it went. Of course i could continue to wait for a 8050/8100 with a Jake mounted crane which is even rarer than a roof mounted one.
  15. VALTRA T150 HI TEC C/W FESLA FORESTERI 400 25 METRE CRANE WITH ROTATING LOG GRAB (YEAR 2006) This has be kicking around since Christmas. Out of my price range but looks like a solid set up. I think it's a Caladonian conversion looking at way the crane is mounted that and its a kelsa.
  16. Any reason you made your cage out of round rather than box? Abundance of scaffold poles? Does it 3125 cope well with the mulcher or is it a slow affair? Questions aside that is a bomb proof bit of guarding.
  17. Now I wonder if you can get a job lot of do not exceed 32kph on the public highway stickers for next to nothing now:lol:
  18. Good point it would be much easier to do on a CVT gearbox. Just oil flow to manage just a bit more electrics to shove in. Once you get reverse drive it becomes so useful. Downside is that if you have a rather long tractor and your not paying attention to your nose when turning in the woods you do bash it around a bit:blushing:
  19. Its an option called Twin Trac. It's about 5k ish on a new Valtra now. As far as i know its an extra idler in the gear box so you can go as fast backwards as forwards. Link up to the power steering etc. You can if you want to throw money at it do it as an after market conversion but its very expensive as its a split down job.
  20. Duffy Skylining had a good write up in the FCA mag a little while ago.
  21. Claas Xerion or Axion. You'd need to change the seats as the one i looked at didn't spin around. Lots of HP though. I know a few people who run forestry Fendts mainly for mulchers rather than chippers.
  22. What about a used Fendt?
  23. Thirsty like most Valtras. I saw the new series at SIMA this week. They're getting closer to farm tractors now rather than forest.
