  1. I've a set of these in semi retirement now as I've just got myself a new pair. They are good machines. Mine are at least 5 years old now probably older. Mine were 2nd if not 5th hand. They will sharpen as well. Only problem I have had with mine is the fuel cap broke and the primer bulb needed replacing.
  2. What volume does it hold
  3. I had an 02 ldv convoy single cab. It didn't rust only problem was it was only 75ps which meant fully loaded it didn't do steep hills one hill in particular I had to avoid as we'd get stuck. Otherwise good trucks.
  4. I'm guessing he'd been flail mowing the bank and slipped over the edge. Reckon the flail digging in has prevented the tractor going over.
  5. get down your local butchers. It might cost a few pence more but it will be much better quality. We get ours from the market every week spent 17 quid today and that will do 6 different meals for 3 of us.
  6. I have had my 441 for 18months and it has been abused. It gave up once as the carb got a bit if dirt in but was easily sorted. Other than that it has been spot on.
  7. 441 will run a 24 is very happy at 20. I use mine alot.
  8. I got do you want to buy the wood from a tree we've paid to have felled. My response was would you like to pay me for removing it as we have our labour charges traveling time etc. He couldn't quite grasp it so advised to try selling it on ebay
  9. Its even more depressing when my 064 didn't even reach its modest reserve on ebay and failed to sell. I know which I'd prefer.
  10. The titan pro range are basically rebadged generic products that come out of the same factory. I had a chipper shredder for a while like the ones which are 700 odd quid. Build quality was what can only be described as poor. It vibrated into bits very quickly. The engines are Honda copies of an own brand design. The parts are interchangeable. Blade quality was poor on the cheaper chipper as were the bearings. My advice would if you can afford it is to put your money down as a deposit on a cs100 or similar and get the remainder on finance. If you have the work for it its well worth it. That's my thinking anyway. My tw150 is on the never never but it pays for itself in one job a month. If i hadn't done it that way i would have to hire in at 100 a day or would have spent 2k on something which wouldn't do the job as well
  11. It will be cheaper for a reason
  12. I think I smell spam cooking. 1st post and asking about a cabstar related problem with a user name of ukcarrecovererydotcom.
  13. Oversize trees at christmas are in big demand. My mate who sells around 2000 trees at christmas struggled to get anything over 8 feet. The bigger ones he did get he had to fell and extract himself. Seriously worth thinking of selling at christmas
  14. I tried using one to cushion a poplar top. Took the top out into the wind thinking I'd miss the trampoline by a mile. The top promptly swung through 90 degrees and went straight through the trampoline. Best bit was the child whos trampoline it was was watching then jumped on the remains of the trampoline and helped tidy up.
  15. Stretching shouldn't inflame it but depending on how acute the problem is it could potentially make it worse before you see an improvement. The thing you did right was to reduce the causative factor being the increase in running mileage. Things like incorrect footwear can also contribute particularly if you overpronate.
  16. I.m an x physio who had a special interest in itbs. The itb attaches to your tensor fascia lata which merges with your glutes. You also need to stretch your quads and your itb although your itb itself has the tensile strength of steel. Stretching the associated tissues is the way you will gain the most mobilty in your itb. Also look at foam rollers i prefer a tennis ball or golf ball but i.m a bit of a sadist. Lie on the foam roller and roll your outer thigh up and down the roller. I.ll rack my brains with what else you can do. My research project at uni was on itbs
  17. Stretch your glutes. Also stretch piriformis.
  18. I.ve been a bit slow replying. Crown wise it is slightly more dominant on the eastern aspect due to the prevailing winds. When the tree comes into leaf crown density and leaf size will be easier to assess. The difficulty with the decay is that as the trunk is still pretty much intact apart from one small area where you realize the tree is hollow. 60% decay is a conservative estimate. From having my arm in the cavity it extends up the trunk further than I can reach and can get my whole arm in. In terms of previous work it has been heavily lifted and the previous thinning looked ok not lion tailed looking at previous cuts I would estimate the thin would be 20%. my overiding concern is the proximity to the house and the extent of the decay even Without the presence of visible fungi. My gut feeling is this trees time is limited. If it was in my own garden I would be wary. i.ll try and get some more pictures of it.
  19. Lanyard and then rope round same as lanyard but clipped on central d like normal climbing system. I just keep space between lanyard and rope so if I cut one I.m less likely to cut both. Done off spikes presuming its a dismantle. If its a conifer topping then may leave a few pegs for my feet
  20. Targets if it failed are the house and the neighbours swimming pool. No evidence of fruiting bodies. Black coloration is thin sheets. It was thinned by a private company to a good standard in my opinion. It was thinned to allow more light i believe.
  21. Looked at this beech today its about 20m high and 3 feet diameter. It has a significant cavity at the base which would account for about 60% of the base of the tree. The cavity itself is not very open. Crown density looks ok having been thinned about 3 years since. There is root flaring. In the cavity there is lots of rotton wood that has fallen away I'm usure if some of it is just decay or some is fungi also. The tree is about 8m away from the house. 22. I.ve done a removal recently which was an oak in the same site were sycamore and birch
  23. Last one we did took half a day to prep 150sqm that was using a turf cutter and rotavator then raking flat and then 3/4 of a day to lay turf. My advice anytime is use a turf cutter saves a lot of unnecessary waste
  24. As a lapsed physio i know a bit. Despite what will be claimed you won't Get the same function as previous from your knee. Expect about 90 degrees of bend. What it will do is get rid of the pain you currently have although you may still experience some discomfort and some minor swelling.
  25. Go and take a long walk off a short pier Don't come running to me when you break you leg
