  1. After climbing Oak trees , If a itch develops try not to scratch. Washing the area with plenty water may help. The scratching lasts about a week.
  2. 20 - 30 they must have been small nests ? Bit of a pita. we had 1 or 2 on a tree lower down as well.
  3. I haven’t seen any for 4 or 5 years here in Berlin. They were bad for a while. made a pretty penny while it lasted. Sprayed the nest with glue , then pulled it off with a bag over the top. then blowtorch whatever’s left.
  4. I would have hoped for the war in Syria to be stopped by now. but seems to be worse than ever. we're a rotten lot , the human race.
  5. Removed my first tick of the year. from my armpit. very small one.

  7. Dead Oak limb 20 or so centimetres thick 2-3 meters long. what’s going to happen. I trust Oak because of the heart wood.
  8. You’re absolute right Mick ( love your description ). But i didn’t mean branches , i meant limbs something with 20 cm diameter. Why remove everything when leaving two or three meters are safe and can used by some beastie. Some customers are nature lovers.
  9. If safe I usually try and leave some thick sort dead limbs especially in Oaks . With the Costumers consent of course. anybody else do this.?
  10. I don't buy bars with replaceable noses. So they not expensive.
  11. After 3 , 4 or 5 chains I'll change the bar and sprocket. ( most times ) the sprocket seems to last as long as a bar.
  12. i like aj , seems a good role model . I remember frank Bruno being a muscle man to. I was once told more muscle uses more oxygen. could be a disadvantage.

  14. Pull the line taught then twang it like a bow string. The bark of the black locust tree is worst I’ve found.

  16. It didn’t impress at first ( cutting frozen wood ) the cutters are soft making it easier to sharpen. It’s worth a try I’ll be buying it again.
  17. I‘m impressed with the stihl 150 t , but very keen on trying a battery version.
  18. Very impressive , the winch i mean.
