  2. nice vids Ian! here is a timelapse vid of my first climbing job, good bit of topping I have made a sepia version which looks brilliant with the old tractor tootling about! the vid was made by a friend of the client and the timing could be better as its a few seconds every 20mins or so...... 12. This was my issue, if i give advice on work to a tree then fine, if i then do the work and any subsequent fails arise then i may be liable as i have been paid for advice and work on said tree! think i might just get it sorted next time my renewal comes around, not too long and it should pay for itself...

  16. Should I have professional indemnity insurance? I don't do surveys myself but if I work on a tree and it were to fail at some point, what would be the legal stance. Also I do get the occasional survey inquiry which I pass on but might consider using a consultant although this would be dependant on cost of indemnity, could anyone hazard a guess as to size of premiums?
  17. If you go and work for a tree surgery firm for a while you will learn everything you will need to know. At least book in for cs30/31 if you don't want to go employed

  24. I think I should expand on my last post, I just don't think repeatedly stating a method is "above" most of our understanding and then wondering why very few are commenting is much to puzzle over
