  3. did mine out of 9mm tennex and it,s spot on and so easy to change and shorten as a step up at the top

  7. timberwolfs chip a lot more trees than greenmech so what does that tell you
  8. zing it thats what i would recomend about £25 inc vat ish instead of that £4.50 stuff you have the better the line the more likely you will use it also get a 8oz bag
  9. what age was your saw and what serial number ish
  10. does not seem like a good way to get work to me
  11. why am i not supprised and i agree with whoever said it first bet you leave weight on floor and throw the wood whats even worse is the quality of the line and bag buy a full setup and then you might use it decent line a couple of different weighted bags and a proper cube and then you may appear professhional

glad you got that in why do all tree surgeons blame a groundie
  14. nearly every way has pitfalls lift chain to see 3 drive links = How hard to pull and how strong and length of bar pull along bench =depends on how strong what bench is made off ect try pulling the chain around and feeling the tendons in forearm should just start to tense but everyone,s different also on most saws upto 16inch bar as you tighten chain watch for tip of bar rising and thats usually good
  15. post a pic and dont give it to groundie
  16. try charging a little bit more and send the customer a disk with photo,s on as it,s a big thing to have photo,s from jobs:blushing: just a thought would be a nice touch
  17. i dont think fatigue would be enough tbh as probably 99% manage well enough maybe go to the gym and change your name would cut down on fat igue:blushing: But i will say i usually up a sprocket size so am i wrong and double standards:confused1:
  18. tbh noise is my biggest gripe saws are too noisy to start with and my hearing is too important also once ported they use more fuel than the next up saw with equivalent power. True a ported saw is lighter than the next up saw but where do you stand with legislation and puwer and noise levels for public and havs and ppe and allsorts and other than ms200t i run husq which already rev higher so no real need and if your honest it is mainly stihls that get ported So have opened up myself for a thrashing or would you like me to carry on:sneaky2:
  19. sorry to put a damper on but I would much rather find whats wrong but hopefully its fixed
  20. NO but then again i dont have one but still wouldn,t
  21. if you want to see the state of teeth on our vermeer after a days street tree grinding i would challenge anyone to spend the time take them off sharpen them and re fit them for what a new tooth costs for how quickly it blunts them and with a hydraulic machine weighing 1.5 ton giving them a tickle is not worth it After hitting a granit set or steel work there is not a lot left to bother sharpening
  22. BUMP just in case folk have forgotten this promise of photo,s i thought it neede bumping back to the top not that i think it will do any good just hope they come before my pension:bored::bored:
  23. we never sharpen em use em till there totally knacked or broken then change them but is a big road tow doing street tree stumps only hitting debris all the time and grinders hate granite sets
  24. definitely on a wire core flip line that has been manufactured with a snap hook will pass any loler as long as it,s in good working order If anyone tells you otherwise you have 2 options 1 dont use them as they competent 2 ask for there details and ask them to contact me and i will sort it out with them p.s thats not how you spell stupid:001_tongue:
  25. so whats for the landy now http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/8090-budget-truck-back.html or do you want to start a new thread talking about it been the biggest one in europe and needing a crane to sort it then get everyone ready with the promise of photo,s then blame it on the groundy:blushing:
