Petzl have had the ten year thing for quite some time. this is the max 'lifetime' of an item, their warranty on helmet's is 3 years, so unless it fails inspection, binning after 2 years seams a waste of money, to me then I am from Yorkshire.

I worked here for many many years but that was 10 years ago, did a few days earlier this year.all the trees are plotted and tagged, inspected yearly (some twice) and recommendations made by a consultant, getting the work done.......!!!

Kong hemits adjust to small sizes but, have you added the extra padding pieces to your petzl which are designed to make it smaller, cheaper than a new helmit!
