  1. had one of these for over five years!Silver_Bull_Multiuse_Kit_Bag - Honey Brothers Ltd
  2. prune so we can see the church clock, with no idea of where they were looking from.
  3. what if it had been a 100ft cedar planted by the duke of wellington (for example) 2M from the boundary with a TPO on, and you missed it off the survey, then the developer does a grade change ' sorry its on our plan'
  4. go back a few steps, surely the tree should have been included in the site survey as its 'scope of influence' was within the development. the person who did the survey missed the tree, this lead the tree to be damaged? the 'we only got instructed to do the site' wont wash
  5. I guess that should be forestry history. I think Dave Humphries did some pollards in Portugal
  6. :congrats: it is for the owner of the tree to decide how they manage it based on their needs and it may be that a old tree is worth more to them than the damage it my cause if it fell over the boundary
  7. crashed and burned several times in the past as you just cant get those southerner's to travel past Watford gap!
  8. should get some letters out before xmass for those wanting trade stands. will be a student comp and educational theme through out Friday and saturday with camping and evening entertainment all been well
  9. cut resistance is for flat blades and wont stop a silky bight
  10. I guess that it would be more cutting back than a tip reduction, seen it used a few times, not pretty
  11. where possible I would fully release my hitch and control the rope with my boots (footlock style) no glove or hitch issues then
  12. I use potato boxes, just for myself. I got some 'uneconomical to repair' for free from my local merchant and reduced them in height(as I found them too deep to get the logs out of the back) used the wood from the tops to do the repairs. now hold 1m3 and easer/lighter to move.
  13. after many, many different pairs I now use showa 330 power grip. never had a pair delaminate into my knot. last about 2/3 weeks before they wear through(need to find a lefty who I can do swaps with)
  14. so replace the large ring with something slightly smaller.....
  15. don't think you can get better than these for rounds Tempest Wood Splitter - Videos
  16. its not as complicated as it first appears I tie the RRD on with tail of my rope, always comes undone, sling runs down the line happy days. i'm sure for the young climbers its as quick to nip back up, but when your nearing 50 and 18 stone its all down hill:lol:
  17. as above, or I usually tie one end off then run it through a munter on a beener to get a little warmth in it to help it take a set (ware a glove)
  18. all might not be lost, watch the ISA web site for details soon.........
  19. tree flex has replacement bridge with various lengths, so has komet dragon/butter fly petzel sequoia, just need to look
