  4. Looks like you done a good job John! I honestly wouldn't no anything about stuffing brash back down leylandii hedges Seriously though I agree with what you say - takes more time than doing it properly - poorly pruned leylandii can be very frustrating..!

  7. It saddens me to hear of your experience as a terrified child, I remember as a child 8-9 ish hearing the news stories and would not of begun to imagine the truth. I think it played a part in drawing me to the Stones later in life. Where it is sad to see the amount of hostility still evident against peaceful (innocent) people who should be protected by the police

  14. We are sure to look back from the future too and laugh at today...... While the robots do our trees (assuming there are any left!!!) Climbing trees will just be a defiant act of rebeliion against the all governing, all seeing HSE of Power!!
  15. The Ice Age is over and still this thread persists.... I think you could be a good climber and rubbish at treework sure... But most good climbing tree workers are great all rounders anyway and their desire to be involved with every aspect of the job is what makes them good climbing tree workers, part of this happens through progression in differing aspects of the job, ie, dragging, straight felling, pruning, dismantles ... I would say a bad tree worker lacks motivation, does not learn or embrace experience, and does not posess technical skills which enable them to do the job properly and efficiently or safely... Climbing and treework are two totally different things though Hope that helps
