  1. Thanks again for you posts!! Especially Louisa! good to have some inside knowledge!! Fingers crossed all is okay when they unwrap it later, and then it will just heal quickly! I hate that peeling off the top layer every morning when you open your eyes!! I also hope this will be my last scratch for a bit!! definately going to get some more specs and demister!
  2. Thanks for the support Chaps...feeling pretty useless waiting for it to heal and having to wear a massive eye patch for the moment Maybe its worth sacrificing a decent pair of shades to the cause, but they make my eyes horribly light sensitive and you get panda eyes!! ****vain*****
  3. Hey everyone!! Sitting here with my third serious scratch to my eyes - Always happens on the seemingly straightforward tasks! Just thought it might be useful to remind everyone how annoying and frustrating these injuries can be.. Was actually quite worried that my eyesight would be permanently affected this time, if it was that would end my climbing and driving and ruin many things in my life.. So just be careful when rushing in with both your eyes open as they are extremely vulnerable and easy to damage. I wouldn't mind but I was only pruning an overgrown shrub so there was nothing stylish about doing it in this manner. Yes I am going to make a more concerted effort to wear specs as i realise I have had a lucky escape this time. Besides general dust and stuff is annoying enough anyway!! Take care people at all times even when doing a "safe" task!!
  4. The view from my front room veranda on a clear day... Lovely...
  5. Its my new desk top wallpaper!! Stunning!
  6. That sounds very cool!! Would love to be able to try that out one day!!
  7. Sure you'd be smiling mate!! Heard about some daft woman who cut down a 100 year old magnolia and got fined....shamed it was only £5k - penal servitude is too good for these people
  8. Your the Boss David, let me know I look forward to it!!
  9. Nice link mate! Cheers!
  10. Good on you mate!! Nice pics!! That long leaning bendy bit looked a bundle of laughs!
  11. On another level how about some sort of posh proximity sensor that revs up as the groundy approaches and then shuts down again once hopper is clear...
  12. If you could get it to work well then I think its a great idea.. But, I think H&S would have a fit - what with these being used openly roadside, and revs then suddenly picking up to max as the small child reaches inside the machine to retrieve their ball (detail edited!!). Quite unlikely i know! But this is how they think isn't it??
  13. Nice find David! I love campestre's but not seen any as mature as that... Re: Work, I'd be happy to come and do some voluntary work on the Estate if you need a hand managing some of these beauties!!, or you just want to try some ideas out

  17. I thought along these lines and reckon it could be a good idea, as long as it was set up right and just provided a steady income without to many varying costs.
