  1. What Hollands said - If he is prepared to behave like that over £75 then he must have some issues....Just make it clear that your life is too important to waste time on people like him. I agree with Shrek in principle but some people revel in this particular kind of dispute. You never know Mark you may get a call from someone like him who needs your help - in which case he can pay the difference for their petty attitudes.

  9. That looks fantastic Pete!! Well done on the MOT always feels like an achievement...
  10. Nice!! We should be allowed to cover ourselves for unpredictability (Or F.ups) as it won't be the customer who is out of pocket due to circumstances unforeseen! I don't think they would be prepared to pay for full aerial visual inspections before each and every job.
  11. I have found that as I am learning - early on it was easy to be put off from just looking at things from the ground.. Can you put a give or take factor on the price? Ie. allow for the worst case scenario so you have some sort of cover in case things work out harder than they look? The times they are easier is a bonus and when it is harder you are covered. As mentioned cashflow is the key - ie. better to have lots of jobs with less profit than few jobs with bigger profit. Any days when your equipment is not working is a loss
  12. Good posts B101....eye opening and interesting. Sure you could make something of use with that frame David just beware the limitations as illustrated..

  25. Nice Car!! First car officially registered to me was a Mk2 GTI in Atlas Grey - this was in 97/98, I drove that until it died. Still got a GTI fetish and own a Mk1 Driver and Mk3 16v. When I first started driving I did have the pleasure of running around in one of these with a massive 652cc and two cylinders...was certainly different..
