  1. I dug out the old 090 the other week, it has sat on the floor in the garage since I last started it some 5 year ago. There was fuel in it, so a couple of tugs and she backfires, about ripping my fingers out! Several similar goes later and with tender fingers and a sore arm, I left it. A couple of days later, I showed it to Jase, Nick and Raf at GreenMech Service, they were amazed at the size if it and that I started it! Deafened by the noise too! She runs and old fuel too! I think I got a bar and chain available but she is fit only for a slabbing saw as there is an AV cage but no chain brake....
  2. 14mm open spanner usually fits, as does a worn socket!
  3. The GreenMech Service department is still open. Call 01789 400044 and press 2 at the prompt. Jase Hutchinson, the Manager is available on here too. He will no doubt respond later.
  4. I used to get a local Ag Engineer to do my GreenMech blades as well as those on my Arboreater. He did all three machines blades and at a manageable price. Don't give up on the local trader! Take them your local dealer if they are close enough.
  5. As GreenMech has had to furlough, Sales folk have to take a break. We, like everyone else in the world, need business to continue when we return, so here is a global newsletter that will have gone out to everyone on the GreenMech owners database. Here is is for you chaps too! Stay Safe and keep on working where it is safe to do so. GreenMech_Global Newsletter (004).pdf

  6. Got to say, the garage had the ford people give their best opinion but went into lockdown.....the other Ranger with the dented front went into a spot to be fixed, got a Seat Leon as a loaner. The said to collect her today. Unfortunately, they gone into lockdown and it is a few days away from being ready. The motoring gods and me don't align....
  7. Fridge soup! Mother calls hers Enthusiasm Soup, as in, you put everything you have in to it!
  8. Got a healthy order book and only had a couple of people bin their order. True enough, selling anything other than big rolls is hard work but we will survive and we are planning for the future! The drawing office are working from home, linked with Zoom. Life goes on.....
  9. I'll look in the archive section remotely tomorrow...not that tech savvy but have a go!
  10. No idea! I'll measure the one outside my house later. It will get in a domestic garage okay!
  11. Jase Hutchinson is on the case, even if we go to full lockdown and someone needs help with their chipper, Jase will do so via email at home (he does this now as well as doing stuff on here). He can be reached on [email protected] Bricked sent me a message and Jase will sort him out!
  12. Just thought I'd leave this here. The first 6" (or so) to be fitted with a 45hp engine. It goes some.... GreenMech_EVO165_45_Leaflet.pdf
  13. I've nearly forgot that about this, but, it is still with them. The last I heard, Ford sent out a field specialist and in a test, they got it to measure 100% with Ford badged AdBlue but only 67% with Esso badged AdBlue.... but the ingredients listed on the pot were the same. So, it is still in the garage while they collectively scratch. That's three months now it has been away.
  14. Off memory, they suffered from hydrostatic drive issues with four wheel drive stuff, Ford compact tractor) Otherwise, a few steel issues with front loader arms (light paint on either arm), otherwise well respected. Just over took by JCB stuff etc.
  15. Spotted at a clients, available as a project for a respectable price. Too useful to scrap!
  16. While I understand that, occasionally, dealer experiences aren't great (the Fife lad and the local TW people and Kev), I got to point out that they have a different level of overheads than a man in a van. They also want to eat meat at weekends, and what have they to gain in annoying you to the point that you never go back there again or, tell your mates to avoid them too!?!
  17. Orange still exist but no longer Jo Beau dealers.
  18. We always had to pit it in chippers sold to the EA.It was massively expensive and didnt last long. If it degraded, it could ruin every component! We had decals made up to point out that the stuff was in there as the two do not mix. An EA Fitter said that at the first yearly service, it was replaced with ordinary hydraulic and the decal removed!
  19. Got an ArbTrak 200 and an Evo165 petrol at the event! The AT200 is going onwards with a demo later.
  20. I got the jist!
  21. Guess what? The mechanics did as the Ford Field Engineer told them - fit a new tank as it was this which is faulty and it won't record anything more than 67%! The next step is to remove all the wiring from the ECU to the tank and the associated parts, check it for corrosion and try that! I did suggest that I have it back, put tape over the warning light and chuck stuff in every week but that will not help!
  22. Sussed that! Got the tyre man to out that on the inside so that you have to look closer!
  23. Crowborough!?! East Sussex!?! Blimey! You couldn't get much further away! But you are welcome!

  25. So I understand! I'll check that detail - it may be by invite but a call to Hamilton Bros or Ross of Lanarkshire will get you in!
