    Spelling Fail

Guilty as charged, I was out door knocking, the last call being Keighley Trees to see Dave Walbank but his yard was shut up!

    Spelling Fail

    Spotted in Keighley:001_tt2:
  3. They list out at £3,670 plus vat for the 14hp and £4,195 plus vat for the 18hp electric start. You should be able to get a discounted price from your dealer.
  4. HORSES, HORSES,HORSES, HORSES, HORSES, HORSES!
  5. Andy, you've lost that one I think. Just think of the fun you are gonna have with weekends away, usually stuck on the hard shoulder with an AA van nearby!

    Jokes???

This should have been a new thread!
  7. The GreenMech checked out okay, it's ex A-Plant and is not listed as stolen!
  8. DobermanDave, that LDV of yours did sterling service at Sandwell Borough Council before you had it too!
  9. Isuzu Rodeo CrewCab. April1st 06, 3litre engine with (wait for it) 120 screaming hoss power. First set of tyres at 70k (Bridgestones), second set did 110k (Goodrich), third set and could still be there at 90k (Hankook). Two sets of spring hangers and some new gearbox seals done under warranty at 180k. They replaced the clutch plate at 180 too but said that if it wasn't for the oil on it - it would have gone back in. Not done much off road apart from muddy yards and trade shows and the odd "off highway" demo, but towed a awful lot over the years. Got thro a fair number of driving light bulbs but it does the job of a reps towtug! I might change it next year and was told that the VW was lining itself as a good 'un but it had better be at the right price and woe be it if it goe's wrong.
  10. I was told that the new VW Anorak was there or there abouts the same cost as the "other crewcabs". My Rodeo has now done 220k miles in a tad over 4 years with precious little going wrong, a fair chunk of that is towing. Averaging about 33mpg etc. A very capable tool. But I'm still a Lode Lane Fan!
  11. There is a GreenMech SafeTrac on there! I'll do a trace but I think it's genuine as it is ex A Plant and has a photo of the serial number. I'll say this tho - there are some god awful looking machines out there!
  12. GreenMech have done this with 1928 and 220 models for some time. It is now standard fit on the new Mark2 version of the 1928. Same as other people have said. it's not there to pull a house over so just be fair to it! Same goes to other makes as well.
  13. Well done there, obviously someone with talent!
  14. Hi Egs, There are a few outlets for used machinery, it all depends on your location and willingness to travel, budget available, size required etc. Gives a clue on that and I'm sure someone will be able to help. Also look at the classified section - push the button on the right! Cheers
  15. I'm with you on that one Mike. I've seen some very good jobs by people with no quals other than the basic stuff and witnessed truely naff practice by people who are teaching others! On one occasion, an ex-student of a land based college with the "right" tickets put in a dead man for me on a mature oak in a small garden and he was amazed when I told him that the hole had to be a spade deep and not a spit deep. Very badly advised by the college people who are "names" in this industry!
  16. Taking from the front of Loughborough FleaPit. I think that this is a different film from the one advertised on the box!
  17. I'll warrant that the delivery of the slabs/sand has also smashed a few branches off as well as a bit of root compaction!
  18. Hey GTM, still waiting to hear from you about that Tigerspeed I've got in the classified section! Give me a call on 07774 282481

    new range rover

Range Rover Classic was the one to have but I agree, Rangey Sport is for Chavs and Slags with no skill, taste, manners or breeding!

    powerline live

BTS, simple rule is - unless qualified, don't go or have anything go within 1.5m. Call the REC and let them handle it, they pay suitably qualified and insured contractors to carry out close proximity work. That's 1.5m for lv, bigger for hv - mega distance for 132kv - act of parliament for 400kva. Try contacting one of the contractors like BTS or Connaughts for their view.
  21. Tuff luck Dean - hope you catch the buggers but will the law do? Bugger all or do you for wasting their time. What galls me is that they have probably charged their customer for disposal at a recycling facility. Good luck with the hunt.
  22. As a log it doesn't burn well as green wood, and dried out - it burns too fast with little calorific value. As biomass in a big commercial boiler it does okay!
  23. Who got it? Salcey Arborcare or Cleartrack EVL?
  24. I got a Sigma DG 70-300 to fit my Canon 400D which is good if you are a long way away or bloody close to use the macro side. Good value and I was advised to get Sigma rather than Canon.
  25. I've known many machines suffer from the heat on the coolant side but if your getting really hot hydraulic oil then there may be an issue with the circuit. a misaligned spool valve or it circulating too much oil unnecessarily. How are the tracks supplied with hydraulic oil? is there a separate circuit? Greenmech use a "clutched" set of pumps on our safetracs so that oil is not being pumped around a circuit thus creating heat.
