  1. Anyone got an Evoque or other Land-rover product that has suspension position sensors? The missus' Evoque had a new wishbone fitted and the drop link to the sensor was bust. I got a new sensor but the drop link seems to be in need of adjustment (cheap kin imported shite) but the fixing the the wishbone is lost! Does it just press fit over a stud or is there a bush or just a bolt? What size thread in to the wishbone? M5, M6, M8?
  2. Off to Maidenhead to get my towed Jaguar 30/80 towed demo unit, now that is a chipper! Cold here and snow is not forecast! Wrap up and work hard safely please! Clinch, Haven.
  3. Boneless shoulder (on offer in Asda), dauphinoise potatoes and beans from mothers garden! Nice....
  4. Wet here and Newark Machinery show on, I got some keyboard stuff on before I go. Be safe on hump day! Tipsy, Diverse.
  5. Spirit of the radio by Rush.
  6. Damn cold here too! Off cold calling today, sweet to get back in the game! Be good y'all! Eye, Love, Mann.

    Jokes???

Brian had been in the Rhodesian war as part of an elite unit, The Selous Scouts. He wore full overalls in the bush which included a hood as part of his camo outfit. He had to crouch down one day on patrol, overalls down while scanning left and right with his FN to his eye. Finished, used the pebbles, hitched up his overalls to find a dump in the hood! The rest of the S & D patrol was bad.....

    Jokes???

I have a story about this..... A long time ago, a GreenMech Service Engineer had to go off into the countryside to mend a chipper left on a storage site. While at this farm industrial units, he felt the urge to go. The loo for these units was frankly awful so he elected to find and alternative.... The Vito van had two side doors and a rear, top hinged door. Brian decided to hover over a newspaper. He pulled the rear door down on the gas struts, had his overalls etc around his ankles, held on to the shelving and set about the process. There was a whoosh and it went lighter as the door was raised by a gust of wind. The sight or thought of Brian, staggering about, trying not to soil his overalls or tread in his product while reaching behind trying to shut the door will stay with me for a while!
  9. Cooler here, sounds still too! Another day of calling Ufkes Owners and some of the previous enquiries! Be good y'all. Tote, Aloe, Tear, Yearn
  10. Couple of errands and jobs, looks mild after a couple of soggy days. Enjoy the rest Day. Thin, Her, May, Jig.
  11. We need more sympathetic and willing mechanics and folk who can impart the wisdom of doing things up tight!
  12. Morning All, decent lie in here and she gone for the tea now. Biblical rain yesterday and think my garage is flooded again. Hopefully watching rugby on the box after a few errands. Be good y'all! Handel, Palma, Stash.
  13. I'm told that it was one of many that had issues.
  14. GM sued Jensen. Not for big bucks, but a 'cease and desist '. It took months and cost several hundred thousand pounds. Jensen did it really because Redwood indicated that the Rail industry was largely took over by GM. TW now own the Intellectual Property so can fit it to their other models. The Safetrac patent ended recently but was superceded by the SureTrac patent. Jensen also copied, or so I am told, the Predator grinder off Patrick Watts as he refused to let the British Jensen importer have access to that! I have been reliably informed that Redwood did develope their own version as well as a skidsteer type loader too.
  15. Morning Team, my head is fried with what I've to do and the info I got to take on board with this new stuff. May even have sold one already, will know shortly! Was going out to see folk but that may be delayed as still got ducks to align! Be good today and enjoy the Friday, returning to your families safely! Scoop, Eid, Who.
  16. They had a factory in Poland but shut that down. For a while, some fabs where made in Brum but not sure now. India? China? Eastern Europe? It isn't beyond the bounds of reason to suggest that other Alamo brands could be fabricated and assembled at Alcester? Rayco, Boxer, Morbark but for that 'European ' feel and finish without the transatlantic crossing?
  17. Up and about, getting things in order going through old enquiries for Ufkes. Still going through comprehensive manuals etc Others in the team to contact to see if they got things that I need to be aware of, some of the team have asked for help in tidying up deals etc, some not done anything within the brand as they are too busy with crushers etc. Thought the weather was going to turn but still seems mild! Have a good day and return safe! Ant, Heap, Asti.
  18. In the yard this morning becoming acquainted with machinery. So much info to soak up! For the time being, I am THE man for Ufkes Greentec with Doyle Machinery for the whole of the mainland and likely to be the brand ambassador in contact directly with the factory! Slept badly in the hotel but awake and going for a light breakfast. Be good y'all! Mass, Kaa, Pony.
  19. Didn't sleep much. Took a bit to get to sleep and woke at 4! First day at work for Doyles, anyone want a big chipper? Being picked up at 10 instead of taking a train to London then on to Maidenhead...... Be good folks! War, Tum, Ills.
