  1. one day when they are 75 someone will #### them over
  2. one day this sort of people will do business with the wrong sort of people and karma will catch up with them
  3. top of Western Australia in the Kimberleys
  4. Yes i had a very lucky break getting this truck secondhand .Bloke in Queensland was selling 6 crane trucks at once in 2015.Could have been and end of contract sale. This size crane is quite rare here (305.11.5s). It has a jib as well and can pick 400 kg at 25 metres horizontal and will do about 790 kg at 28 metres vertical Effer would not let us have the saw on the jib ( its not plumbed for tip functions anyway) so i had to purchase a manual section and get a short jib engineered locally.
  5. i have turned Coconut palm.It had some interesting patterns in it.Cut very easily
  6. This tree could have been pulled over into the car park but felt it was a good opportunity for some practice and exposure
  7. Raintree removal over building approx 16 metres tall. After a bit of faffing about getting the crane set up and grapple saw on , this was on the ground and chipped in 1.5 hours. The hoses are still not finished .Now there will be a carrier under the 'jib' section. the side hose tray gets in the way too much
  8. Unfortunately it was a very hazy day and the rest are rubbish .Next week we might have a job for it
  9. silly dill's they spelt it wrong. should be Wyndham
  10. Latest bullshit from the dealer(a very large corporation that builds insulated EWP's on trucks in Melbourne) is the factory sent the wrong part via road and sea .The part would not weigh more than 2 kg.Now are sending the correct part via airmail and gracefully will not be charging me air freight (this is crap too as i have not been given a fixed price for the part anyway) and they should be getting it Wednesday .Dealer said on Friday they already the package but today must have forgotten what lies he had told me earlier. 40 days now from initial request for parts
  11. Well it was 28 c today only because of this cyclonic weather event but usually it would be above 40 c this time of year. Not quite as desirable
  12. A pleasant 28 c today .Currently being slightly lashed by the tail of a cyclone.Cyclone Marcus has done a right job on Darwin in the NT but is a fizzer where i am
  13. Unfortunately i live along way from a major city and the only electronics guy here didn't want to get involved during last years breakdown .I have the only working machine in Australia and the dealer based in Melbourne (over 3000k away) has the only other one . This kit if and when i finally get it will have to be wired in by me. I did look at getting the wiring myself from Farnell/element 14 but don't have a wiring diagram worth a damn to be able to get it right
  14. a pic of our new grapple saw on an Effer crane.Still working out the best way to run the hoses
  15. It would have been nice if this MEWP company had quoted a delivery time but all i am getting is lies. The machine broke down on February 10.It has a known wiring fault (since at least 2014 a year after i bought my machine ) with a retrofit kit which the company did not bother to tell us about at the time.Water or humidity is penetrating some rubber wiring connection blocks. We are waiting for the retrofit kit To cap it off it broke down same time last year and was out of action for over 3 months waiting for another part. This is an Italian machine. We have multiple machinery from other countries who understand time and money and the longest i have waited is 2 weeks for parts The Italian's on the other hand either don't care about future sales or are just totally incompetent. Its very disappointing as the machine when it works is very impressive and there is not another spider lift on the market in Australia with the same abilities and compactness
  16. in Europe what would be a fair amount of time to wait for a part for a EWP ?
  17. As the safe working load is only 300 kg its probably not worth it
  18. would need one one with a jib or winch
  19. Husky 266xp in 1985-86.Bought it from Micheal Richmond in Haslemere. When i came to Oz in 92 i had it shipped out but in the mean time had lent it to a friend who put the wrong fuel in it .Needed a new pot and piston on arrival.Kept it for a few years then sold it for $200 dollars
  20. effer 305 .it's a 5 hydraulic section (also with 1 manual) and a 4 section plus 1 section manual jib.Total horizontal outreach 25 metres with jib max 400kg .16.8 metres without jib capacity of 1245 kg. Will lift 9.2 ton in close Also got a mecanil grapple saw for it (not hosed yet ) Effer would not let us have it on the jib so we will run it with the manual section on the main crane . Its a great unit but i would like a bigger crane maybe a 655
  21. crane in stowed mode, don't have any closeups with it open
