  1. you can get arborist kit in Perth from CSP Industries in Osbourne Park if you need it
  2. joe bonamassa Mountain time no idea how to link though
  3. the other classic is "we've cut our tree down can you come and chip it" I get there and its been cut into 1000 pieces and takes 2 hours to chip instead of 15 minutes. Or they have stacked it like fiddlesticks and it wont then loader feed easily One client who was given instructions on how to stack "butts all at one end" proceeded to beautifully stack about five ton of brash with the butts hard up against a huge rock with no chance of getting the chipper anywhere near the pile.this was before i had a loader and was hand feeding a 12'' vermeer
  4. ive been to a few jobs where the client has bulldozed the trees over then shoved them into a pile resembling fiddlesticks covered in dirt.then cant understand when i wont chip them
  5. not that i know anything about pommy laws but cant you burn waste using an airburner? No smoke from them if set out right
  6. i reckon that a torque wrench and a grease gun should be standard equipment supplied by the manufacturer
  7. the stainless box would have been TIG welded an excellent welding method
  8. so far have not chipped the carbide on the two leading teeth yet .Have ground approx 20 stumps 400mm diameter and 4 stumps over 1000mm they are excellent for plunging straight through roots On Palms the multitip teeth would bog down once you grind through to the fiberous roots.on the Alpine Rhino it doesnt slow down at all.Much slimmer profile. On the laski i am running 6 standard teeth. The dealer here (rayco) also sent 2 wide cutters which i havent used yet.I suspect that they will be too aggressive on the multitip wheel.Alpine Rhino's wheel is much more round like It does cut with much more force than the multitip and i have had to upgrade some of the guarding
  9. For any multi tip users wanting to try alternative teeth Alpine Rhino teeth will fit without changing the wheel. And fit better too as they are machined Will be much more aggressive cutting than their own wheel however I have trailed them on my modified Laski now for 3 weeks and they are at least twice as fast and so far have not even chipped the carbide
  10. you can't go wrong with a BMG on a small machine:thumbup1:
  11. Have a look at the Cela DT 21 or 24 spider lifts Very fast and compact units They have been out a few years now so secondhand should be available
  12. well emr if you buy one i hope between my 2006 model coming out and the latest edition that Laski themselves made some changes for the better at the factory.
  13. Have Terex made any changes to the stock Laski stump grinder that they have re-badged?
  14. a previous owners speeding ticket was found behind the dash of the HJ47 from 1985
  15. if Terex have made some changes from the stock unit they could be better than what laski put out.If they haven't be prepared to spend some extra money to get it up to spec. I have spent a bit and have ended up with a good unit. I have recently seen a couple of Terex videos of them stump grinding end grain of logs lying on the ground that just make them look utter crap
  16. when i had a blue heeler i had a purpose built cage on the back for him.never went to any ute shows or suchlike. Then again i am in the middle of nowhere here. the current dog is a kelpie and sits in the front of the Canter in the air con Spoilt rotton
  17. Not quite perfect but a vast improvement!
  18. 2005 model turbo intercooled.think its a 4.2 ltr.its a bit too thirsty for my liking.17 litres to 100klms.But has a working airconditioner and has lots of power compared with the old 3.3 litre version
  19. since i bought a canter 4x4 i havent used the 47 .should really sell it do i go to dog on ute days? Not sure what you're asking there
  20. low buy price sometimes isn't the best choice
  21. You need the right MEWP.You blokes complain when it gets to 30 degrees .Try climbing every day in the Wet 40 degree plus and 90% humidity .Even the most stubborn will then look for a better way. I did after a few years climbing here Original MEWP was a Nifty 17 metre trailerlift .Slow, not enough up and over reach but did the job Current MEWP is a Cela DT24 spider.very fast on the ascent and all movements .12 metres outreach.14 metre up and over.24 metre working height .About 850mm wide less than 2000mm high Not many jobs you Can't get to with this
  22. my hj47 just went up in value:lol:
  23. Carlton or Rayco is another option
  24. No i am not going to buy any grinder again.this one's going to last another five years (i hope)then i am retiring i suggest sticking to an American brand preferable with a remote control
  25. the price and the screen is what attracted me too. about the same in aussie dollars
