  4. Aye but he's got a big brother:
  5. Aye, but there'll also be equally grim winters.
  6. Whack an AI module in there. What could possibly go wrong... What I consider to be the most spooky, is that the makers of the robot have done their best to make it 'Human', with mannerisms that make it acceptable. Kiss yer job goodbye. :
  7. As a CAD technician, you could massively supplement your short-term income by finding a consultancy who deals with BS 5837 and doing a day here and there. You could do it in your sleep. Though, I'd understand if you wanted to leave that behind. When I did a national diploma a decade ago, there was a shit hot rock climber on my course. He struggled initially to let go of the tree as it went against his training. He was canny once he learned to climb in 3D. As a fell runner, you'll do whatever is in front of you. Good luck mate.

  9. http://www.canterbury-archaeology.org.uk/trees/4590809565 It may be Oriental Plane : Platanus orientalis. I'm not sure.

    Jokes???

  16. I paid £300 ish as a sole trader. I reckon a quid a day is fair though. I pay about a tenner a week for Ltd accounts. A decent, recommended accountant will save you money. But more than that, you don't have to worry about the tax side of business or deal with the Rev at all, which allows you to focus on what you want to do.
  17. I'd probably add SRV to that list too. Blues are great, you have to have experienced things before you can really play them with honesty. The biggest vocabulary in the world means nothing, unless you have something to say.
  18. It's good to notice the little things, when you notice them, you notice more of them.
  19. Agreed, you're looking at less than a quid a day for an accountant for a self employed sole trader.
  20. I've noticed larger than usual leaves on the regrowth from poor/ill advised pruning cuts. I think stress does play a part.
  21. No, they make the gags.
  22. Depending on the type of contract you have with companies and the status of your business, you can claim milage as an expense from HMRC. I'd recommend getting a decent accountant. For just over a quid a day you don't have to worry about what you could/should be claiming.
