  1. Aye, I suppose it is. Each to their own.
  2. And therin lies the problem. Read the headlines, ignore the stories.
  3. He's a bit of a knacker by all accounts. A vote to leave an institution should never be based on a supposed 'birth right'.
  4. Nice one Stubby,
  5. Not making the news today: Brexit. Surely we should be a bit more concerned about something that's going to affect all of us, instead of talking about events that are unlikely to happen to you unless you're a Russian spy in exile.
  6. Yîam mâak Silky!
  7. I agree with Gary. Also, I'd look to instruct a consultancy to carry out a tree safety assessment. The outcome of the tree survey will determine what should happen next.
  8. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/countryside-hedgerows-regulation-and-management If it's wholly owned by the client, I'd be tempted to crack on. The link above does allude that it may be protected as it backs onto agricultural land. If it's that likely that someone's going to give you grief over it, then it might just be worth getting the permission in writing.
  9. Nice tree mate.
  10. Depends on the size of the hedge I suppose. I take it it's a conservation area?
  11. I like burning larch.
  12. Climb where you want. Be polite if confronted. Most people seem to be on the side of the tree climber rather than the high-vis psudo traffic warden types.
  13. @KevinJMBE: I think the days of onerous arguements on the merits of ones' personal predjudice are numbered. And I'm happy about it. Howay, You should be ashamed of yourself supporting those right wing shithandles. Have a look at the future: Get used to it too, the fact you desire a rise of the far right makes you a lousy traitor in my books. No Pasaran.
  14. There's flat earthers all over the globe.
  15. Mate, you seem to live in your own live soap opera. Good luck with that.
  16. It's a conspiracy thread. You can't just get polonium, Whereas they actually made novichok up the road from Salisbury. Tin foil ahoy! It's also a canny distraction.
  17. I'm not convinced that the Russians had anything to do with the Novichok incident. Why would they even bother? When they went for Litvinenko they made it absolutley clear it was a state hit. I smell a rat. I reckon it may be another thing designed to distract us from the political shitstorm that's unfolding.
  18. It's most definitely a hazel. Structural engineers are for structures. Arboriculturalists are for trees. If you have highly shrinkable clay soil, you might want to consider a root barrier of sorts. If your soil is less shrinkable, you could probably plant an elm next to your front door and not have a worry. As said, you should get a consultant in and take it from there.

    Jokes???

A gadge with a black eye sits down at an airport bar and gets himself a pint. When he looks round he sees that the guy next to him also has a black eye. After a cursory nod, he asks him how he got the black eye. Bloke says: 'Slip of the tongue.' Gadge says: 'Aye, mine was from a slip of the tongue too, what's the story?' Bloke: 'Well I wanted two tickets to Pittsburgh but the lass on the counter was canny well endowed and I accidentally asked for "Two pickets for Tittsburgh", hence the eye. What about you?' Gadge: 'I'd just sat down for breakfast with the missus, I meant to say "could you pass the toast?", instead I said "You fucking bitch, you ruined my life".

    Jokes???

@westphalianThere were two windturbines in a field. One asked the other 'Hey mate, what kind of tunes are you into?' He replied 'I'm a heavy metal fan'.
  21. Search for a user called 'Wolfie'. He was looking for people for work around Munich.
