  1. £60 for a 800x800x800 bag which is 1/2 a cube £180 for a level landie 130 load which measures 1.98 cubic meters. Sold out before xmas and passed loads of business to other local surgeons
  2. At that price is it worth buying then selling a quad?
  3. You have been offered work - just bloody do it and stop complaining!! Why is no one satisfied these days with work, people always want more. You may well find that the council have spare boots and trousers but they may be cheap examples that have been worn by previous employees, if you have got your own wear them and create the impression of a willing, prepared, hard working person. This country is on it's backside because too many people can't find the right job so do nothing but claim the dole or get and job a whine the hours are wrong, the pay is wrong, mr smith down the road gets this but i don't.
  4. Get in touch with the sender of the parcel as he has paid for a service he did not receive. Ask him to get in touch with RM and get proof of the signed delivery, you will probably find that 'you' did sign for it but the signture looks nothing like yours. If he did not receive the service he paid for then he will be able to claim. You got your parcel and are no worse off but if it is something you have raised before do so again, in writing.
  5. Tell the gaffer at STS his camon grinder still going strong.
  6. reassuringly expensive was Stella Artois's advertising slogun for 10+ years
  7. If you are making the guy more money than he would be making without you then I would say you should be getting paid something, even if it is only £20 to cover your expenses. If however he is slowing his rate of work or saving jobs specifically for you to give you training and making less or the same as he would without you then maybe he is right.
  8. Cyber pints can be traded for real liquid pints at any arb gathering listed on this forum, please find the issuer of cyber pints to redeem.
  9. shoot 'em or chicken wire around the bottom foot of each tree
  10. Not sure what it is like down there but you would be very lucky up here to get paid to shoot vermin, plus if you do get paid you are into the realms of needing professional insurance for pest control and not just standard BASC etc insurance. Pellets are less than a tenner for 500 cheap ones, are you really going to ask the farmer for 10p because you shot (at) 5 rats? Just my humble opinion!! Kev
  11. I know how they feel, everytime I come to yours they try and chew my doors to get me out the truck, thats after they refuse to move so you can reverse to your drive. I can just see the coppers face when he looks in the landie and sees everything is either missing or chewed beyond recognition!!
  12. There is a thread about it somwehere but it is proper north
  13. I've heard that about you before!!
  14. Dates I've got so far from the forestry journal calendar are May 13-14 Arb Fair North June 10-11 AA show cirencester July 15-16 Jonesies show
  15. I've got some laburnum and plenty of monkey puzzle if you want a look, I'm in Meltham. Give me a ring 07867784521 Kev
  16. Spoken like a true disco owner who really wants a proper land rover you mean!!!:001_tt2:
  17. Land rover if you want it to work and tow effortlessly, Jap pickup if you want it to work (but struggle sometimes) but be a nicer place to sit (usually better seats, dash, heaters, leak free). You will get newer jap for your money but it will lose a lot more than a landie. When you say move stuff in the woods, do you mean tools etc or big loads, in the woods properly or on easy tracks. Do you need a pickup or would a 90 or 110 van work, if so you could also look at shoguns or other jap 4x4 SUVs.
  18. I've donated again, supped so much damson over xmas I need to win my own prize!!
  19. One thing a lot of forums state is that within the for sale section you can advertise your item once and once only. Otherwise there ends up being pages and pages of the same ads which costs the forum owner extra money and leads to people ignoring the posts in for sale as all they see is the same item again and again. As has been stated the woodland is worth alot more to someone who backs onto it than anyone else as amongst other things there are rights of way (public access) which reduces its value, it backs onto a load of houses and IIRC a blanket TPO which makes it's fuelwood value harder to materialise. Good luck with the sale, £10k to someone very local would be good money in my opinion. Kev
  20. Maybe if he keeps posting the same advert again and again someone will get pee'd off seeing it and buy the woodland to stop him posting? Why not try advertising on something like woodlands.co.uk?
  21. I have a set on the 460, I wonder what they would look like on the 181 chipper saw?
  22. It's a 260. Rob is only 3 foot 6 tall
