  1. That tree was a beast from what I remember ... Also one student lost a wheel of his landy on it!! Shame that can be saved...
  2. Yep cheap and crap ,the large one has a useful scabard that fits a silky sugoi though.
  3. Very Good job for a first effort... Maybe the top right sticky out bit I would of brought in.
  4. I would of gone to one or the other as they are so close, that's my thinking Steve I don't know about others, I probably won't go to capel unless it looks a big improvement next year .. Cutters and climbers must be pulling in bigger crowds by the threads on here than in previous years.
  5. Its far to close to cutters and climbers which i think is fast becoming the superior event.... And no vegy burgers , i think she charged me a £1 for roll with cheese in wtf!! I don't think the weather helped and having to shelter in the beer tent that smelt like a urinal made you want to leave straight away. Overall there was nothing to really see or do...
  6. Yes but that's an bg 85 then ?? I had an 8 year old one that lasted until I lost it on a road ( how many times do you tell the boys to put them with the tube facing towards the back !!) saying that the last 85 I brought lasted 12 months before the main bearings went....certainly don't build them like they used too!
  7. With the new blower probably the wiring for the on off switch ..ill keep on flooding mine with fuel as I'm on my second set, and its such a bad desighn in 6 months will need replacing again any way... Maybe if I flood it enough on to a red hot cylinder it will go bang then ill buy a husky any way.
  8. Drink heavily .... Forget every thing !
  9. Yeah I remember now ! Why was it catching though? You may have to order a new starter housing jack as I did, that was how spud cured it.
  10. Make sure the bolts are done up straight away if they are loose... It's definitely worth keeping up on, make sure none of the plastic casing is broken around the fly wheel and it all goes back where it should be, spud did mine the second time and its been fine since.
  11. I know i dont really want to replace it as It's a good strong saw but you just have to watch the bolts on some saws.. Mine was a typical Friday saw, I know it only did it because of loose bolts.. But the bolts should not do that !! Any loose bolts put lock tight straight away! Is it a dealer fix?
  12. Think there was already a thread on it mate?
  13. :scared1:Yes mate I have had one rip out a whole ht unit... Plus its managed to rattle out and mess up threads on most of its bolts, for the chain brake , dogs and side casing ... Due to a faulty on off switch i thought it has ripped it out for third time so I threw it out a tree and have now broken the crank casing ! Temper temper and all that but the saws been a bloody nightmare !
  14. I think its one of there latest schemes ...rolling around with logs on the back of there wagons offering there services and quality fire wood, have met quite a few people who have brought logs from are Irish tinker friends. all have been total shite and extortionately priced.. I was trying to keep a straight face when the landlord of a pub that had a smouldering hissing ceder logs on his fire was proudly announcing he had just beat them down from £150 to £90 and 3 pub breakfast for the logs.. The best bit was under what appeared to be logs was big hacked up rings that they had obviously given up on and buried under the cut rubbish on top.
  15. Will watch out for this one then.. Cheers.
  16. You guys clipping your saws on to your belts or pulling them around on the strop in the tree when repositioning ?
  17. How's about the chain brake that to me feels badly made when disengaging ,not like a firm click on the 200t... Sort of like a mushy hard to disengage pull like the old aluminium 020.
  18. Gimme yours then, I have cracked the crank case on mine ... And the 560 has a broken chain brake band , 357 broken trigger and I have just sold my spare 346 and given the rebuilt 260 to my dad so only the 395 is working!!
  19. That ain't fair lol, and I am not wasting money on a 24 " for the 560, that ported 357 of yours maybe ..how is your new Spud tuned 372?? My 372 is a pile of poo so maybe those times are correct!
  20. Not a fan of the 372 but would of thought that time is well out!
  21. Mitch its not oiling!! No dogs(felling spikes)on the saw.
  22. Say a 200t but I would say i was never expecting it to be.. It would be nice if it was but that's not my issue its the bloody oiler, I just don't like down time on new tools !! Saw still fills a niche nothing else is offering
  23. I have had to clean the oil tank out twice to get it to oil, considering its only done about 15 tanks of fuel I'm disappointed it may have the same crappy oiler that's in the stihl pole saw that has proven to be about as reliable... The chain brake feels like marshmallow and its seriously underpowered , still it suits certain jobs perfectly almost!
