  4. feck me I never took you for a techno geek steve this will lead to a lazy assessment of kit just to meet a daft regulation , if people are too lazy to check kit then this will just lead to them swiping each kit bag, Because they have to & its easy = Lazy, just so that there is a tick in the box, the potential is deadly !! whats wrong with looking at stuff then signin a bit of paper or a mark on an exel spead sheet jeez £400.notes + the stuff na ! not for me
  5. yep but its carrying a load !!!! whats sauce for the goose is good for the gander unimog is an ag vehicle too clasified as a tractor as it pulls pushes or powers just a thought ! what about other ag vehicles then combines are run on red diesel but they have a built in manufacturer designed storage tank the same as a unimog can. a loads a load as far as the law stands

  14. they've thought about that b4 , re work @ height leg it didn't get through then either totally impractical , totally unenforcable , how will they know, as when an accident happens, a throw line would soon take care of any problem how can you double anchor on the stem dismantle, my double point are each at the end of my gaffs academics who have no of knowledge practical applcation will get shot down whenever this raises its head, people who professionally climb are much more aware of their own mortallity anchor point + work positioning strop fine but double anchor as a requirement Not , lets face it a double line in a lombardy full of eppi ' is more of a hazard than it is a saftey enhancement also any risk assessment that sees a double line as a health risk would negate any potentially perceived benefit imagine the **** storm the first time a climber was physically ripped apart because a section being removed ended caught in one of these extra points Its bad enough to be pulled out of a tree but to torn in 2 No thanks !! rant over iain
  15. As for time in the business actual time, most of the day, if not actually sorting problems or planning or day dreaming it never really lets up coz there is always something that can be done its just having the drive to do it and if you dont it gets away from you As we all know there will always be competition, though personally I dont justify my price & I dont drop it either , if they dont like it get someone cheaper its a free world after all , )unless your naming Teddy bears !) A plumber with a tool box on his own, can be on around £ 50 - £75 an hour + materials, so if you have a 3 man team that eqates too £150.00- £225 ph therefore we are all way too cheap !!!
  16. nah its just Plain jealousy coz they appreciate anna more lol

  18. you can chose your friends but not your relatives a sensible approach is not to mix either & loaning money its way messy, Trust me ! offer advice where you & they think its needed, trying to sort other peoples lives, when they are low & stressed, it can seem to them as intefering. she has already told you so in not too many words, so if they know they can call , wait & let them
  19. when i've needed to footlockjust used the normal line 12 mm x-perience dont see the need for any extra cost, as when footlockin ' I aint wearin spikes ' , if the rope gets any muckier off my boots, then i bang it in the washing machine but in most cases it gets grubbier from the bark syc's etc.
