  4. Too easy to take things at face value without checking what half hidden implications there may be.

Southerners huh The road to enlightenment begins north of the smog. (and you wouldn’t catch a northerner wearing a neck scarf when there are leaves on the trees )

  10. I leave pegs now and again to give my size 12's a rest, use a silky and even use a ladder for access (only) where i can Should I resign from the forum now
  11. I will be parting with £150 Had a meeting with some EA bods today (not tree related). Had a quiet word re waste licence, they where as unsure as most but working in the regeonal head office would ring me back. They did ring back and to cut a long storey short thier take on it (and im not going to argue) boils down to: Have you been asked in any way by a someone else to fell/remove a tree etc. If the answer is yes you need the licence. To this day I have never walked onto someones property cut down and removed a tree without being asked to do so, therefore I am getting a licence. It has been said many times before on the thread £50/year is not a lot to pay for peace of mind!
  12. Yep Kids tend to sleep a lot better after a skin full, plus they get the hangover which is a bonus.
  13. I will go if I can. Same as Dean, Sat's only.
  14. Cottage on the right just before the bus people in the village. Got finished yesterday - paddling about cleanining brash/logs out the beck! Cold but better than wind n rain.

  19. Just got into a load of these lots stuff. No good for a quite night though [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0RAKVjFKRc&feature=related[/ame]
  20. Been using one for 2 years and will not part with it Great for small domestic stuff. Yes JB's may have more going for them but there is a hell of a diff in price, pay ur money etc. I do not trust any hire machine to give a true reflection of a looked after/maintained machine (does everyone treat them like thier own?). If you want to try one then get a demo, the machines (any) will be set right because they want to sell them!
  21. Was the bible when I first started together with his book Trees for Town and Country. Still got them both on the book shelf sitting along side Mattheck's guide to VTA etc!
  22. Count me in please Thanx
  23. Bit of an un-sympathetic Acer reduction today (previously 'topped' with a lot of long target free regrowth) - but what the customer wanted and a lift/thin/reduce on the Ash next to it.
