  2. 12" razor sharp here.
  3. Haha.. better than getting the ring piece LOL... Nice choice lee. We're planning on raising suckling pigs in the new year. The other nice choice is a goose.
  4. Yeah, they sure like to get rowdy after a few beers.

    Gear

Buckingham Versatile with solid seat harness 7 front attachments - 2 for main line, 2 for secondary strop., Yale XTC ropes, yale xtc split tails with blakes, 4m yale xtc side strop with spliced Eye & mini cam adjuster. Mixture of ISC and DMM crabs. Never climb with more gear than you need, thats my motto. Also, learn to climb with the bare minimum before relying on gadgits.
  6. I can totally relate to that. When I worked in Brisbane, I worked with a crew of Maori's. They where the friendliest people I met out there. They hated the aussie's, but liked the brits. I had only worked with these guys (seriously BIG scary looking guys aswell!) for a couple of hours and I was invited to a family wedding do.
  7. Maybe, but I reckon they'll be tooled up aswell... Ah the Bren gun. something I can only dream of owning. I nearly paid £1400 for a deactivated original, but was horrified to find they had welded up the barrel, and welded up the firing pins. Criminal. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3FpO3_60GJo
  8. I dunno, I still have an excellent original 335. with a bit of work on the exhaust, they go well, and I really like the shape. I believe the new 338 is 42cc's aswell, so should have mucho power. Hey rich, how about a power porting thread on 200's? The one at AS was superb.
  9. Or the situation where different bodies and councils have different interpretations of the law....?
  10. At least I can console myself that I'm not running a stihl:drunk:
  11. 395. The king of saws.
  12. You cannot believe how badly I wanted to quote you there....
  13. Welcome Telhol. I'm just getting a red x instead of pictures...
  14. dug out a pic of our old beast - U1700 fitted with 230hp engine and 24" wheel conversion. running a 12" Gandini forestry chipper on the back. Check out the pre HSE hopper
  15. Looks like us tree guys will be ok when the oil runs out... http://www.vedbil.se/indexe.shtml
  16. Mr Ed

    do you.....

Of course. I'ts only for the top I leave one or two.
  17. Mr Ed

    do you.....

I likes a couple of good stubs to stand on at the top, particulary for the last big cut.
  18. I've heard the same thing about NZ, particularly as there seems to be a resurgence of Maori Nationalism. A lot of old tribal territory scores they want to settle... As for eastern europeans, in my experience its different countries. The poles are hard working and polite. Mostly it seems to be the albanians who cause most of the trouble. If we did'nt have such a good free handout welfare state, they would'nt be so quick to flock here. Like Quickthorn says, without money, the future in UK is quite bleak.
  19. I would love to go to Vancouver. next on my list would be NewZealand. It's my wife that wont move though. We have it pretty good up here, and the grandparents live close by.
  20. You mean a pump driving each track?
  21. Actually, you do. Otherwise your opinion is just hot air. your posts were aggresive and bad mannered. If you think that the greenmech combi is rubbish, give us reasons. I think the GM combi is rubbish, but as an end user your experiences will be more valid. If you dont like pete's inference that your idle, say so specifically. Asking for members to STFU is rude and shows a lack of forum etiquette.
  22. I think your payload would be very poor, plus you would be required to run a tacho. Not sure if the axles are rated to the speeds they say either...
  23. I think a little less salesman bashing is in order here. Pete has a lot of experience as a contractor, not just selling machines. If you have a point to make, back it up with good reason.
  24. not so sure about the ford 2.4 duratorque engine though. Any reviews yet?
  25. As long as their built by english workers, they'll be rubbish. The aussie built Land rovers have Isuzu engines and gearboxes, and the whole vehicle is much better built.
