  1. Go for the cummins chris. You know its your destiny.
  2. Why go brand new? A brand new cummins is still going to be £5k+, even with full discount. A really good one from a breakers would be about £750
  3. I must try harder!
  4. I'd hate for you to get complacent mate. Like to keep you checking my every post, worried what the hell's coming next:001_smile:
  5. You know me James. Not reactonary in any way at all:001_rolleyes: Subtle as a depleted uranium shell through the front door.
  6. I'm with Lloyds TSB. bunch of wankers. I got my charges back by threatening to shoot my 'relationship' manager, his family, his friends, their freinds and family, and burn down the bank, their houses, and anybody remotely connected.
  7. I beefed up my work watch to stand up to the rigours of work ---
  8. Its because your not in overdraft that their taking it off you. I would see if you can go up the chain and speak to someone with authority.
  9. For a saw, try and get an old harvester head. It has everything you need on it, and you could just cut the whole sawbox off. Bear in mind it will need a bit of power to run it, but most will cut 24" in seconds.
  10. The wraptor is not the safety technolgies unit. Its designed and built by an expat Englishman Paul Cox, a climber and tree service owner.
  11. Nothing wrong with VM. Superb engines.
  12. As for banks, they are all bastards. I curse the government for bailing them out, they and their piggy ways. Scum, the lot of them, sucking the lifeblood out of the country. I do feel sorry for the few banks like Cooperative and a few others that were prudent, wise, did not invest in dodgy US sub prime markets, and weathered the storm. Wheres their big hand out? Matt, stick with what you have. Changing banks can be a nightmare, and no new bank will give you any sort of overdraft. Ditto on the overdraft sentiments.
  13. Why not go with a cummins like in the video? They were fitted into thousands of DAF roadrunners and 45's. Superb engine, will do a milllion K's without breaking a sweat, and a good one can be had for £500. try to get the 150 turbo. I've pulled 18 tonnes gross with one, handles no problem. Otherwise, try a Mercedes OM366 as fitted to Vario's and atego's up to 13 tonne gross.
  14. You'll have to make an appointment with my secretary -
  15. PM me and I'll point you in the right direction.
  16. No. (quick answer)
  17. A small pellet mill is dirt cheap.
  18. I was going to say the same myself:001_smile: Very cool website. I'm also interested in the bags, but I'd like to know how you deliver them. Do you empty out the bag?
  19. Indeed! you dont own a Landrover, your afflicted with a terrible craving for the green oval.
  20. Saw that last week, meant to post it here. The reason the fire goes out is either the substation fuse blew out, or the sap that conducts the electricity vapourised, breaking the circuit to earth.
  21. Mr Ed

  22. I dont get it - you will not get a new landrover for £15k..?
  23. Once you get good at sharpening, you will be able to use virtually any file in a pinch. I once sharpened my 200 with a flat file because thats all I had without a 10 mile round trip back to the workshop:blushing: Did'nt cut to bad either...
  24. Marc, excellent pics. I remember way back when you were a skinny newbie with no experience but huge amounts of enthusiasm. Now you post the coolest pics of you doing the best sort of treework. You've done good mate, really good.
  25. Ditto Ditto. <<<<Better learn this stuff quick Alastair, or my schoolmistress will be giving you a stern talking too
