  1. Dave, you know I'm pretty much anti MEWP. You know me, you've seen my pics, you know I am not one for doing jobs inefficiently. If I can smash it flat with the excavator and ram it through a big chipper, I will. If its the dodgiest deadest rottenest tree barely standing, I'll climb it. Ergo, If I think a mewp is going to save me time, effort and money on a job, I'm not going to be hiring one for a laugh... I have used one in the past for accessing trees growing out of a cliff face. They are also very usefull for jobs where you have a physical impediment stopping you getting to the base of trees.
  2. Does that mean we are exempt as an owner, but an employee is'nt?
  3. No quite true. No lack of skill on my part, but I use the JLG type on rare occasions. Very usefull when crown raising long lines of trees along a road for instance.
  4. I am not saying this chipper is stolen - but someone has taken the time to paint a fairly newish bright orange chipper dark green - And its pretty cheap too. LAMBARDINI 7" FEED DIESEL WOODCHIPPER on eBay (end time 09-Nov-09 15:54:33 GMT)
  5. No mate, I am very Knowledgable, and have a good idea of engineering and mechanics, but skilled I'm not. Compared to you I am a fumbling bodger.
  6. great Vid.
  7. Dean, absolute quality job. I would be happy to entrust anything mechanical to your tender care. Your skills as a fitter are underutilised!
  8. Hello Jerry, good to see you here:thumbup1:
  9. Nope. Both Dennis and Chris have Bandit 280XP chippers. Chris also had an 1850, Rocheford landscapes old machine, he bought a new crane for it off my mate. But Tracked Bandit beast they do not have - Only 2 in country. Griffiths pallets in swansea have a 525hp 3680(I bought Gavins shagged Tubgrinder), and Tree Contractors in Wrexham have a 1000hp 4680. I say have, as far as I know its been repossesed 3 times...
  10. Then your either Gavin Griffiths or James Rigby - as they are the only 2 in the country. Given your location, I'm guessing the former, but having met Gavin, you dont seem familiar? And unless your running a Knife system, a Beast is pretty poor on big wood. I know this as I used to own one.
  11. Could well do...
  12. I will have a couple of 8 wheeler loads of Beech coming up. Also several hundred tonnes of mixed birch and pine.
  13. Hahaha, they've been saying that since I first met them.
  14. Who cares... Wide angle lens I think - sure makes a fantastic pic.
  15. Nationwide.

Nice work Dave. Ditto shrekie on the B&Q saw and ladder. Good kit is fine, but a good cutter is priceless.
  17. The posch machine is a DIRECT copy on the fuelwood machine. Posch bought one and took it to their factory to copy. I think that Fuelwood are to expensive, but it is a cracking machine
  18. Hi Suzy, welcome to arbtalk. What part of the country are you in? this can make quite a diffrence to the outcome.
  19. Very slow. And he's a dead man walking sat in front of that bar and chain. WHen that snaps, its going to shred him.
  20. Not Scared. No Scars.
  21. Very nice operation there BigBolt.
  22. Mine recently had to be put to sleep. I have a large black naughty lurcher shaped hole in my life.
  23. Every experience I've had of selling off ebay to forgien bidders has been a nightmare. Nice dog pic. Lurcher or Greyhound?
  24. What volume of logs?
  25. Then buy a kindlet. The original and still the best.
