  1. If I had the chance of going over there I would be getting 192t.
  2. Suppose I could say there should be on the hope you offer me cash to forget it! .
  3. Pop is one of the best, cheap options around. You want a full sales pitch Johnny?
  4. I know where theres a big heap of Pop Johnny:sneaky2: Want me to have a word?
  5. That was because they were trying to do it on the quiet and cover up the mess they made of the 575:lol:
  6. Just room for a little more thought, and may put into prespective how rediculous some of the directives are behind such schemes, I have a job in the pipeline at the moment that involves removing a row of mature Ash and Elm trees so the trucks carrying the turbine blades can access the site!
  7. Would love to offer my services but had a drink now, and after a forced visit to the station earlier in the week Ive seen enough of them boys for a while. Good on you though woody, very community spirited:thumbup1:
  8. Mmmm, not real sure how to describe the sound in words! I guess one of the easy ways to hear it is run another saw you know is running right, note the sound then listen for it on the modded one.
  9. Ok, the reason I asked was if there was a saw ever built the same as your spec there should be a manufacturers setting. However, in my experience modding saws you usually find the factory figures are way out and can only be set by ear listening for the 4 stroke crackle.
  10. You deserve 110% for that one with that saw Mark. Very clever!
  11. Nice one! One thing that concerned me was that if in an accident your insurance would be void. The VOSA guy kind of scared me with the consiquences of that one!
  12. So Butler, you are happy to use the road train knowing its illegal then?
  13. Just curious, but what made you set the revs at that, were you supplied with the info from the kit supplier, or are they the standard settings or something?
  14. Anyone who has worked on a farm as a tractor driver will have done this. Gets easier with practice!
  15. I will admit I "got away with it" for a year before gettin pulled, but the threat of having the whole rig impounded, stopped me doing it any more.
  16. Whoever pulled you and told you that were WRONG! Oh, and welcome to the forum mate:thumbup: .
  17. Reversing was never a problem for me. Trying to explain to VOSA why I thought it was legal was the difficult bit. Just a word of warning Butler, I got off lightly but they told me the usual course is to confescate the whole rig, especially if the offender knows it was illegal! Is it all worth much?
  18. If you are agric, or running showmans its legal. NOTHING else. Otherwise, "one trailer cannot tow another". If you wish to articulate the first trailer it becomes part of the tractor "vehicle", then you may tow a "trailer" with that "vehicle". The one who has been there and knows has spoken!
  19. Sounds fair Ed, and welcome:thumbup:
  20. Im afraid if it were me and the missus was with the young 'un takin picks I would have been there too. Sorry, but money aint everything and kids do grow up very quickly.
  21. The main problem with mufflers falling apart is that the engine comes off tune. Running a saw with an iffy muffler can make it run lean and as bits fall off and give less back pressure it gets worse. IMO, its best to sort it before it starts blowing. Its a bit like doing a muffler mod without adjusting the carb. Not advisable!
  22. Any good Steve? EXHAUST MUFFLER FITS STIHL 029 MS290 MS310 039 MS390 on eBay (end time 25-Feb-11 16:23:17 GMT)
