  1. So do you get lots of bad payers John?
  2. There maybe less daylight but the working day is still the same length.......... 9 till 4! Daylight what ever time of year!
  3. You can all throw the maths at it if you like, but the majority of my new customers seem to be the ones who have had the stove fitted as a fashion statement, not so they save on gas!
  4. Nice job Matty, you do some nice reducts but i can imagine that would be tedious following a previous prune. Im only jelous because somehow i cant get out to those tips like you wee lads:sneaky2:
  5. I like the way the brovado suddenly changes:001_huh: Didnt look such a smart arse at the end of the vid:blushing:
  6. Very nice Matty especially the hornbeam. Had it been reduced before? Looks a bit like theres some old targets showing in pic 1
  7. Why the hell cant people say they will deliver 3 cubic meters of mixed hardwood logs, dried to below 20% moisture, tipped on the drive for £240? Doesnt really matter what truck it comes in, if its heaped, level, how many bags there is, or even what colour the truck or bags are!
  8. Cant believe this either! There still plenty who are selling firewood thinking a load is a load:confused1: Thats why i was taking the mick when i asked if anyone knew if a tranny load is the same as an LDV load:blushing: Bob, my LDV is also 10 foot by 6 foot 6, but if i cut my sides down to 6 inches high will it still be a load? Yep, i suppose it will be, its still 10 foot by 6 foot 6 Cant believe this blasé approach is still carried out by so called professionals:confused1: Not just you Bob(or your mate Tony), there are many
  9. Nice one Nige, im getting close to replacing my MS360 and would get the 361, but might make it last till the MS362 is available. I do still have a good 036 if the 361 does go pop though, so might wait.
  10. Im thinking of going back to selling by the load as it seems everyone is obsessed by "per tranny load" Thought i might have a niche market if no one knows what an LDV load is:sneaky2:
  11. Anyone know if an LDV tipper is the same size as a Tranny? Just incase a customer asks
  12. Almost sounds like you've gone girly Nige:001_tt2:
  13. Jonny is thick skinned enough to take it:sneaky2: I think its the "but" that makes all the difference:lol:
  14. Jonny, you are a sound guy, so please dont take offence with this, but, Your saw is now second hand...Yes Your saw doesnt have a full warranty...No Did you know you can buy a new with full warranty 361 with 18" bar for under £550.....mmmmm Try asking nearer £475 for it, i recon you will get a deal:thumbup1:
  15. Dean has a point, you should be able to tell if theres some missing but this might help; http://www.greenmech.co.uk/downloads/Resources/15-23MT%20and%2016-23MT%20July%202008.pdf
  16. Mmmm... think you got a couple short then! On the 500mm flywheel there should be 4 in total(2 pairs of 2). Have you bought it private, or can you get hold of the dealer who sold you it?
  17. Do you mean 2 in total or two pairs of 2? Does it look like any are missing, ie, do the knives pass over near the full length of the anvil?
  18. Think the Jury is still out on that one but i dare say as time goes by you will be assessed by the many hundred members on here:001_cool:
  19. If you find a door any good, think of rocking horse poo price:blushing:
  20. Dare say there are also many who are exceptional at the job, but dont shout about it though:001_tt2:
  21. I thought i recognised the landscape, like Nige did! About 20 years ago i worked at Warter Estate that borders Millington Dale. A very nice part of the world, and a place i miss working at.
  22. Whereabouts was that? Did you manage to get any logs out of the stems, must be some of the best firewood going?
  23. Some of the planks;
  24. Here is stage 2, or is it 3? Went back a few days ago to clear the logs. Got some nice planks to make the wife a bench.....or two; Pics taken by James
