  1. Yep, its second hand, i collected it this afternoon. Just be nice to stick some horrible big conifer through it now:thumbup1:
  2. Had a closer look at the label, and it does show a krab clipped directly onto the gold ring:sneaky2:
  3. Ok, just to update, had a go with the "homemade" adjustable and im still here! Lol! No real problems i noticed, it adjusts easy enough, i tried making it slip but it stayed put without the prussik moving. Just need to get a couple of pear maillons now to make safer. Only downside was, it was on wednesday and i got soaked in the rain playing around:001_rolleyes:
  4. Rob, not sure i fully understand what you mean, do you mean to clip a krab of a lanyard into the gold ring? If so, would that not be introducing the risk of damage to the webbing attached to the gold ring, as Tom D said at the beginning of the thread? Perhaps im being thick:confused1:
  5. So what did you make of the 935 then?
  6. Ok, you sussed it Frank, it was a setup in anticipation of this thread. You ought to know, it was the beast that is the 360 in his hands, and only a very select few are allowed to handle it running:sneaky2:
  7. Lets face it, if it was the lads hinge we could make allowancies for a young 'un.....but it doesnt sound like it was:lol:
  8. I was going to say that Bob but didnt want to bruise his ego. But as you have started, i would have added, he pulled a splinter out of the log, so thats ruined the end of that plank:001_tt2:
  9. :001_rolleyes: There really is no hope is there:001_huh:
  10. Glad you lot think they're ok, i collect my 935 tomorrow:blushing: Oh, and B-Trac is now Vermeer UK.
  11. Do you advertise "25 liters when packaged"?:lol:
  12. Just for you Rupe, this is my V8 before the rebuild;
  13. Now thats a place to be if you are hip and trendy, believe me, i have been there:lol:
  14. No worries Peter, i was just trying to give stevie a wind. Guess its my Northern sence of humour:001_tt2:
  15. Not tight Stevie, just thick:001_tt2: Whats a ropeguide:confused1:
  16. Was there something wrong with the link i put up, 2 posts before Jonesies:confused1:
  17. Muntjac doesnt look right somehow Muntiacus reevesi - Chinese Muntjac Deer
  18. Just found this site. Fascinating if nothing else but heres a Meles Meles scull; Badger Skull
  19. Looks a bit long faced/jawed for canine to me. Shame the feet are missing.
  20. Badger, and probably left there by poachers. Around here when Badger bating was common 20+years ago, poachers used to go onto land where game keepers were keen, kill the badgers then leave them hung up on fences, gates and trees to annoy the keepers and land owners.
  21. Theres a thought steve. Guess that would get over the risk of gates rubbing and side loading?
  22. Yeh, sorry the pic is real poor Bob! The tails on the fishermans are about an inch long, but must be on the underside in the photo. As for the crabs, i only set them with gates facing away from the stem. The main concern i have, is about the cord on the webbing, but didnt think about wear Bob, it was more on the purchase it has. Im thinking of the way the prussik naturally works, but the webbing is quite square. Hope that makes sense?
  23. I have a cresto 1 meter cambium saver thats sometimes a bit too long, ie, when working close to your anchor. I already have a pulley on crab instead of the small ring, but recently put on this old hip prussik and crab. Can you guys see anything wrong with using this set-up? It is definately a cheaper alternative than buying a complete new rig! Feel free to comment;
