  1. John, perhaps its on seeing the title, old farts with no hair are concerned if the up and coming new generation are a threat to the iron filing sarnie bregade:lol:
  2. I could run to a months wages, so if it goes over £250, im knackered:001_tt2:
  3. Yeh Mozz, i was meaning young buck Liam, but hey:laugh1: Just curious anyway, not sure i have a spare £500 spare for a toy though if Andys right:001_huh:
  4. Ive been doing firewood on and off for over 20 years and only just got one. I was horrified to find out some log moistures, like some elm thats been split for 4 months, feels and looks very dry, but was 31% on the outside of the log:scared1: As for where to test, yes, in the middle of a split log. And yes, if you advertise seasoned below 20% moisture, one log at 21% is not acceptable. That does mean testing logs top middle and bottom of bag if you want to run it that close:sneaky2: I personally would sell them when they are at least 3 or 4% below what they are advertised at.
  5. Is that with a phone? Cheap if it is.
  6. i know theres been lots of threads on this but this is the one i got; Kamasa Mini Moisture Tester - Machine Mart
  7. Never weighed it but think frank is about on it, about 750-800kgs i think
  8. Mines machine mart £20, does the job fine:thumbup1:
  9. So what do you think its worth Liam? Just in case i decide to go for it:sneaky2:
  10. Where in North East, Lincolnshire or Northumberland?
  11. Rots quickly and is low calorific, if that helps.
  12. Will be a shame to see it go Tom, it sure earned its keep with me:thumbup1:
  13. Not sure Mozz, cheers for that:001_smile:
  14. So whats an old 'un then? Im 36 today and still dont feel a day over 42, eaten beef sarnies, pork pies and goose fat every day of my working life and its never done me any harm:sneaky2: So can i be like Joe, classed as a young 'un that doesnt complain:001_rolleyes:
  15. Recon i might get dragged there by the Mrs again:001_rolleyes: Time to start putting the shopping list together then:thumbup1:
  16. Sounds scary that one Drew, could have been much worse. Get well soon.
  17. Not sure its dodgey, i think he is just a crap seller:001_huh: Bit strange he doesnt know what year it is though when he has a picture of the plate:confused1:
  18. Just came across this while rummaging. Its from Hong Kong and its a none subscription type but requires a sim card; GPS TRACKER REAL TIME SPY CAR VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEM on eBay (end time 05-Feb-10 08:29:29 GMT) Any thoughts on this type?
  19. Sounds like a couple of good systems Nick, do you have any details or links to manufacturers?
  20. Not sure, i lost the ability to count when i was 36 the first time:001_tt2:
  21. So, is there a threashold on price for these that actually work, as i know there are plenty of variations on the market?
  22. Sorry, i do sometimes have a sarcastic manner, and i guess sometimes people dont know it, BUT, i was being sarcastic here, hence the smilie at the end;
  23. After seeing Omniata's thread on the micro dots, i was wondering if anyone uses trackers on such as chippers? It sounds to me like a combination of micro dots on kit would be great for the opportunist thief on such as saws, (this i might give a go) combined with trackers on such as chippers and trucks. I still believe insurance is a must, but purely on the basis of inconvenience, getting your own kit back can sometimes be best. So, what thoughts do people have about viability of trackers on top of the insurance premium we already pay, and do they actually work?
  24. Really impressed with it, other than the weight i cant fault it:thumbup1: Got plenty on with work but enquiries are steady. To be expected this time of year. Having today off for my birthday. I'm 36 again:sneaky2:
  25. Mine is a 935 Ian. Its a brutal piece of kit, but weighs more than twice as much as the greenmech, so if the little 'un doesnt sell, she might still come in handy for those "Ah, lets just take the chipper off and push it through that narrow gate" jobs:thumbup1:
