  1. Any reason it has to be a massey? How much you wanting to spend? Any interest in McCormick?
  2. You can have mine for £4000. When are you coming to collect it?
  3. Ok, thats enough, stop taking the mick you lot! The guy is talking about a 2 ton load of mixed hardwood logs, whats so bad about that? I would say, one log of oak weighing 1 ton and one log of sycamore weighing 1 ton is a mixed load of hardwood logs. £100 delivered i say.
  4. Is this your own GP or the hospital doc? Sounds well out of order. This country has gone mad.
  5. Congrats Liam. Also, its a nice truck for a young 'un! Look after her, it will serve you well. Perfect for you and your job.
  6. Darr, your health is more important. I aint saying anymore:thumbdown:
  7. It may be a down fall of mine Stevie, but i do not connect with such folk. I do not need the work and i will not work for people i cannot connect with. If they show such ignorance over the phone, i really arent that bothered about being in their presence, let alone work for them and worry about the next issue. The old grannies supplying tea and bickkies usually supply payment as promptly too:thumbup:
  8. Like Dean says, never had any trade from these types but had lots of calls. The worst one i had went on and on and my isistance on a site visit wasnt doing any good. The guy asked for about the fourth time "so cant you give me any idea at all?" I finally answered "The least i ever charged to remove a tree was £40, the most for one tree was £4400. I hope that gives you a rough idea" To which he answered "There, that wasnt so difficult was it?" Then slammed the phone down! Idiots!
  9. My husky has done all ive needed of it, felling, self recovery, pulling out hedges, and pulling out big logs. Cant fault it. Mine is running a wire, but a thought for anyone using synthetic, be careful of UV rays. It rots winch wires really quickly.
  10. Apparently they catch "loads of landys on cherry" We seem to be in a hot spot for roadside pull overs, but they only ever pull commercials. Makes me feel like putting cherry in the Audi, just so the next time they pull me in the landy I will have something to smile about!
  11. I know i might look dodgy, but this time plod walked into the middle of the road while i was at least 200 meters away. No way he could have spotted my gypsy looks:sneaky2: The even more suprising part is Liam, all the times i have been pulled ive been in the landy, never in the LDV (or how it has become known "the pikey truck")
  12. Didnt realise fella, but dont go pushing yourself and popping your belly out again:001_huh:
  13. I got pulled again on wednesday but they had a plastic cop pulling folk in, i guess it leaves more manpower to check the vehicles once pulled over. Fourth time in six months for me at a multi agency check, and when i said so to the customs guy he just laughed! Believe me i wasnt happy!
  14. I'll make it £30 PLUS postage if he makes 4 x 20" chains out of 'em!
  15. Thats what i thought Nige, but making your own might be worth it for 3 vehicles. Hence why i am curious. I want it to be above board though as i got pulled AGAIN on wednesday!
  16. I think what your problem here is, they are short chains, as you say for such as ms260's. Trouble is, they are usually on 0.325" not 3/8". I'm afraid your market is limited. If you have a chance of selling at a discount, I would take it:thumbup1:
  17. Yeh, thought that was so but do you need to apply for an exemption for that 2500l? I also wonder if that is per vehicle, per company or what? How does anyone prove or disprove a 2500l usage? Seems to be lots of "flexibility" and "trust" the way most people portray it. Not sure its so straight forward if Customs decide to investigate you.
  18. Anyone know the implications as far as Customs and Excise go if you get pulled at roadside? Do you need to provide any duty paid paperwork?
  19. Not sure about adding any on because you are collecting the money, but what i will say is never reduce payments or do extra/give favours based upon the "hope" there will be more work. Been there myself and it doesnt end up in your favour.
  20. Really? Are you serious, as you never used any smilies:001_huh:
  21. Looking good Johnny, but i think you over filled them bags though:001_tt2:
  22. I was starting to wonder if it was just me! I dont like putting any particular manufacturer down, but in this case from a user point of view they are just too much trouble.
