  1. Just rushing out now and i havent a pic, but if you ask Peter on here i think he has had one done. Pete Mctree definately has but i think his internet is down.
  2. Rob, just rip out the "little box on the inside". Let it breathe:001_smile:
  3. Sure is! Just need a 12mm drill and a steady hand:thumbup1:
  4. Cheers for that Steve, as you know its the transport thats the problem. I put the thread up on the hope there would be someone local doing the type of trade many others like yourselves do. The problem i have is i never supplied kindling before, only logs. I feel i am missing some trade as many people like to get sticks and logs from one place, not two seperate ones. Initially, i cant see me selling great numbers of sticks, so therefore transport expense is high for a relatively low number of nets, making it hardly worthwhile. Thanks to all those who PM'd me so far:thumbup:
  5. Wasnt sure where to put this, so general chat it is, unless any mods want to move it:confused1: Ive been asked to put forward a proposal to the planning department for a change of condition of planning for a "Screen" of conifers that exist to the rear of a new build. The house is not complete as yet and is at first fix stage, but is one of four individually designed houses. This house is No. 3 and it will be around 9 months before the builders have finished the last house. The garden is 9 meters deep from the rear of the house, and the trees are against the rear hedge about 20-25 feet high with a hawthorn hedge behind. The new householder wants the 3 Larson Conifers cut down but is more than happy for a new, more suitable plantation, perhaps based upon british natives, and/or small ornamentals. Anyone had dealings with this before, and if so whats the best way of going about it? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete.
  6. Ok, i see theres plenty of guys on here selling kindling around £1.25-£1.50 per net but is there anyone in the yorkshire area with similar prices as the transport seems to kill the job for us. I would be looking at orders of between 100 & 250 nets at a time (price dependant) and could collect within say 50 miles unless delivery was reasonable. Feel free to either reply on here, or PM me. Cheers, Pete.
  7. I recon they would make a real nice horse head bench:sneaky2:
  8. You got one sorted yet, there was a kona hei hei just sold on ebay 2009 model only made £580? Was that the same one you fancied?
  9. Surely we can make it 10 pages of dribble before anything is organised, eh?
  10. Got back early thismorning, following a great time. Was VERY cold and windy, but spirits high, good chill out time with a few mates, brilliant atmosphere as usual, now looking forward to next year. A few pics, nothing real fancy but i think these ones are safe to post!
  11. That cannot be enough surely? If it were, you may as well be employed:confused1:
  12. As a none footy fan, i spent a long time lastnight searching the nights programme listings looking for something not football related. Eventually settled for a very poor Van Damme film, falling asleep before the end. Are you all saying i had a good night in relative terms:001_rolleyes:
  13. Very nice, and a very fine finsh for sitka. Looks great.
  14. Not too serious then Jonathan, what amount of water are you getting out at the moment?
  15. He wasnt banned as a result of your thread mate, it was due to breaking basic forum rules and manipulation of this site. Nothing wrong with your thread as far as i can see mate:thumbup1: Hope i dont get in trouble for saying so:001_huh:
  16. Conifer bashing? Different people get pleasures in different ways i suppose!
  17. Depends on cost. If it were say £10 a month i might try it, but somehow i dont think it would be that cheap. Also would like to see the set up first, and possibly do like Robert says, stand and watch the punters, see if they look at it!
  18. Ditto what the others say, good all round generally. And narrow! As for visibility, depends if its remote control. Manual valve is a bit difficult to see but managable.
  19. Are still saying that to charge half what a job is worth is acceptable? Thats exactly why i wont do it, you can get caught out. If i turned up to a job and thought it should have been twice as much as i quoted, I'd be gutted.
  20. No worries, leave it with me, at the latest i should get back to you at the weekend. Just out of curiosity, where are you based?
  21. Its ok, im still waiting for his reply to the end of this; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/11594-strange.html
  22. Did this job get done Frank? If its still on the cards, as i said to you i can organise staff, chipper, chip dump, transport, digs and even a market for firewood. If you are working now but not upto climbing, i can climb for you and you supervise on the ground. Let us know:thumbup1:
  23. The McCormick is not mine, its my dads. If you like i can get some deatails and pics but will take a few days.
