  2. Ha ha Lee, you use to slag them off as usefull over on the treehouse lol I agree though i wish i'd have had one when i was contracting !
  3. I tried selling my discovery but have given up now i'd rather let it gain in value with low miles in the garage than flog it for half what i paid for it 4 months ago !
  4. If as I suspect they legitimatly got your no you may well have priced against your old boss. If he's a mate I'd give him a call then he knows your intentions are honarable, you've done what you can and he can like it or lump it. Been there done that !
  5. Yes defo get the work first and kit after. You shouldn't have to change your pricing when you buy bigger kit you should just get through the work quicker and do more in a day.
  6. Not quite sure what you mean by that Oliver.. ? I made an informed descion...
  7. That's my take on it as well Andy and pretty much what i've thought for some time. Who the hell do we think we are are we that big headed that we think the earth will live or die on what we do...i doubt it some how !

  12. For those that are interested we will be having a stand at the APF
  13. Excellent point side tipping is very handy for maintenance.
  14. Seeing as you have the majority of the parts i'd go fore it as 3 way tipping is a great +. Tipping from the rear can be an arse with a 3 point linkage fitted as it's awkward to drop the tail gate etc.
  15. Just cause your a nosey bugger Lee !
  16. Buzz

    100m MEWP.

No way would i go up in that !! Imagine 300' up in that looking straight down the boom !!
  17. Or Lichfield slightly further but only about 20 mins. The show entrance looks to be the main visitor centre entrance when i was up there a couple of weeks ago. I'll try and get some photo's when i'm in the area as it's only at the back of my new house !
  18. Ben will talk it through with you man on Wed am. Not sure you need a crane mate, depends on how much ground damage they'll tolerate etc.
  19. When i was a kid i used to go to work with my old man on a canal. I have fond memories of clearing thick blackthorne with a bowsaw while the blokes were all using chainsaws. Still it was 'character building' and kept me out of trouble lol
  20. I'm an arborist that thinks he's a climber lol
  21. The problem is with that site Linda which is next to the Porsche garage on woodbridge meadow is that they pollarded most of the trees about 3 years ago and then did a 2nd phase recently before starting the carving they should have put up a interpretation board from day one to cut the flack. Looking good now though Which tree officer did you speak to ? Adam Owen ?
