  1. And what's wrong with that lol
  2. Iain, will give you a call Monday. Chip size for Wilton will be G30 spec.
  3. The problem with supplying smaller installations is size and moisture content is far more critical. We send the chip we collect to the most suitable end user. Ian are UKWR / SembCorp taking in biomass for Wilton 10 now then ?
  4. Merrist Wood teach that way still as well, climb on both ends of your rope at all times plus a lanyard. I don't know how the hell they move in a tree ! I hate having a big loop of rope below me.....well when i used to climb that is lol
  5. Hi Ian, well i'll gladly come and take your chip off you if you want me to come and have a look. Yes the Mog engine was a contributing factor lol What do you do with all your logs and timber ?
  6. Yes ditto to what Ed said, I've seen a few tree surgeons who have small screeners for screening their woodchip for different applications.
  7. Thanks for posting those pics, my scarpa's are long dead i fear as is my ability to lead HVS lol Wouldn't mind doing some winter stuff though if scotland ever comes back into condtion !
  8. That's the trouble with arb waste Mark, often it's not suitable for small scale burners as it's to stringy and the moisture content is to high. We send chip to outlets where we know it won't be a major issue. What you need is a barrel screener which will be big bucks to hire in. You'd be better off marketing the chip to an appropriate market.
  9. They will sporadically call around Oliver they won't have got your no. from me matey.

    Hi

Heh mate use your resettlement grant for the 10 week tree surgery course at Merrist Wood College in surrey. You can live in and claim that cost back as well. While your organising that at HM's expense get in contact with local tree surgeons and get as much pre and post course experience as you possible can. Showing your a grafter and reliable is much more valuable than qualifications BUT because of the forces you might as well get as many tickets as you can which is where the 10 week course comes in. Just PLEASE don't think your a tree surgeon when you leave college
  11. Ahh Malham Cove brings back memories of quality climbing on a summers evening and tornado GR3's buzzing by at low altitude lol
  12. Sick to death of working all hours god sent fighting against under pricing and many many other issues. I've been on the tools since i was 16 effectivley, it's much easier being a wage slave lol I moved house for love but that's another story lol Anna is fine she is continuing in her carear as a professional arborist for an AA aproved company in the Midlands.
  13. Was good to catch up with you again Bob, a very smart looking organisation.
  14. Ok, well I'll in be in touch shortly anyway as I'm flying around up here doing site audits. Matt.
  15. Hi arc whereabouts are you based have we met yet ? Regards, Matt.
  16. Depends on where you are and the quality of the chip as to what outlet we can send it to and what the haulage rates are. Anybody who is interested e-mail me or call me and i'll come take a look.
  17. Some of you know me and some of you don't... For those that do I have given up my business to become a wage slave. I am working for AHS Recycling Ltd, we are one of the major players in aggregating woodchip to power plants and large scale chipping on clearance contracts and clearing tree surgeons yards of excess waste. If I can be of assistance to any of you to help you find a market for your woodchip or help clear your yards of excess log and roundwood then give me a call. Quantity is not as important as you would think, once you have an outlet you can build up a stockpile. Being an ex-tree surgeon myself i understand the industry and the issues that arise. Cheers Matt. [email protected] 07515 062186. http://www.ahsrecycling.co.uk
  18. Big fat Ditto to that, might take 20 years though
  19. Approach reputable local companies and offer to work a for free for few days a week for free. They will pay you if your good. Don't waste money on tickets as in the current climate experinced guys are struggling far better to get a foot in the door and see where that leads.
  20. I'vr done a 15% reduction on a hawthorne and thinned it out. Not alot of fun at all Looked bloody good though
