  1. Yes not filling in profiles pees me right off as well.
  2. Anna and I tried a Stihl MS260 instead of our 357 for a while. We soon went back to the 357 ! Probably should have tried the 290 instead but heh. The decompression buttons are pointless on smaller saws IMO it seems to make it harder to start !
  3. Exactly Andy, It's amazing who reads these forums but never posts I am constantly coming across people who have read and seen my posts. Those full of C**p will fall by their own accord skyhuck, just ignore them !
  4. I've just got a 6 year old facelifted Disco with a 4ltr V8, 39,500 miles on the clock immaculate and 9.5k. A TD5 with similar miles is a) impossible to find and b) 2-4k more !

  8. I've had a freelander and it was the dreaded 1.8, i would avoid high mileage one the lower mileage ones should be ok, there is an after market gasket that land rover will fit if you ask them to. My mates engine blew, it was out of warranty but he made such a fuss they put a new engine in it for him. I think the key thing here is that the service history is up to date Jay.
  9. All i can remember is lots of rain and great company ! Lee's stew was awesome mmmmmm
  10. No it's called pollarding lol, or reducing back to old pollard heads or re-pollarding.
  11. Lopping and Topping is a forestry term from old used to describe the waste from snedding out a pole. To produce a pollard you would 'pollard' a tree. Lopping and topping is a term used frequently by consumers to describe works they want carried out to their trees. Education is the way forwards there. Sorry to disagree 3 dogs but that's my understanding of the term.
  12. I was told the other day by a solicitor that i don't even legally have parental responsibility! Can't wait for the day they decide they want to live with us
  13. Buzz

  16. That's alot of pollards, nice work John. What are you anchored to in that last pic ? Looks nice and high for a pollard or was it a head before you reduced the last stem ?
  17. I hate the tail end of my lanyard getting in the bloody way all the time, i'd like to try a similar idea at some point as well.
  18. Or ' Don't climb the tree and don't answer the phone '
  19. I wish all employees had that attitude ! Nice Job.
  20. Underpricing scrub clearance work in the early days, i spent 4 weeks working at a loss paying 6 men. Arb cock ups pale into insignigficance compared to that job !
  21. Shame there wasn't an engineer around when you dropped a line babe, I'm sure you could have convinced him to put it back up for free
