  3. glad its not just us then!!! ours came out to site to day I was prepared with a pile of paerwork, RA's Ms's the guys & gals had a tool box talk about slips,trips, falls we were coppicing willows roughly 2 acres to do. H&S guy arrived and wanted to close the job down straight off as we were leaving stumps 6-8"ish tall!!!:scared1: I had to take a very large deep breath and count to a million before I replied explaining what coppicing was!
  4. Now thats a top boss to take the rap - ours wouldn't. How much does your councils H&S officer know about arb & forestry work John? what ours knows I could right on the back of a 1st class stamp!
  5. I'd give the NFU a buzz. My insaurance policy covers any trailer fully comp up to 1500 quid while attached to truck, and they'll happily insure a chipper as a specified trailer of higher value.

As Andy says everything has to be so secure these days its unreal, it takes me twenty mins to get the security devices unlocked and get our ifor hitched up, but they have never got away with and they have tried!

  8. well I'd never by my girlfriend flowers as it sets my hayfever off big style and I get very very grumpy so we don't bother with flowers!
  9. We may be john yes, but then we have the Local government pension scheme xx amount days paid leave a year and are fairly safe in a recession, paid sick leave etc etc, perhaps it ain't so bad!

  13. Nothing! if your a stricken broken down vehicle, However for roadside working then they are not complient to NRASWA legislation and best practice but I think you know that really.

  16. I personally really like the Vision alert lightbar the AA use it meets all your "wants" and has stop tail and indicator too, however it will be nearer the 1200 mark!!!!!! Hide away LED's Onus ones are not bad I've got some on the 130 but I just haven't hidden them!

  18. Try the Britsh Red Cross or ST Johns Ambulance, They both run HSE approved 4 day first aid courses.

  20. brings back memories of the monday morning I parked my 90 on its roof after 3 rolls funny thing was i had a 5' wide vision alert beacon bar across the roof it remained totally intact!!!! Hope you get your landy sorted asap.
