  1. Change of principal/named manager = reassessment.
  2. I assumed you were offering £400 to take it away....
  3. If I had enough money to set up properly in forestry I would retire now.
  4. Can't remember tbh, mine was in and out about 6 times in the end, but I just paid for the parts and traded some tree work for the labour.
  5. If you do replace the clutch get one from Iveco. I had loads of problems with a non genuine part, and then it turned out the Iveco part was no more expensive. Got pretty good at driving at it without a clutch though.
  6. Forgot all about your pm, only just got my lorry back from its mot. Not sure about the gear lever thing, but my clutch was really heavy until I had it replaced and now it's lovely.
  7. I have run both in the past, I would say the canter is a little more heavy on the construction, but the cab star has a better legal payload. (1200kg) My Swb cabstar has an awesome turning circle too.
  8. I think it's quite telling that all the chipper manufacturers are going down the type approval route for their trailed machines.
  9. I have a portamig, it's a lovely machine but I would buy inverter over transformer every time now.
  10. The age of the bracket isn't a particularly good indication of the time scale of colonisation/decay. There could be old brackets that have been removed, or decay progressing internally for some time with no fruiting bodies appearing. Also, that fence looks very new, I would be surprised if Ganoderma had colonised and produced brackets since it was installed. Symptoms from root damage following the fence and any other construction work are probably 5-6 years down the line.
  11. You can obviously run the welder at lower amperages from a 13 or 16 amp supply, but if you need max power then you'll need the 32 amp supply.
  12. I have an R tech ac/DC tig. They are Chinese made but they hold spares in stock in the uk, so you can't go too far wrong imo.
  13. There's a video link on the website too.
  14. Pretty much everything you'll ever need is on the Samson site. http://www.samsonrope.com/Documents/Splice%20Instructions/Lock%20Stitching%20Whipping%20Seizing%20Procedures_SEPT2012_WEB.pdf
  15. If you want to get trucks clean of traffic film etc you really need hot water. I've got a karcher hds 601, secondhand for £600ish. Be careful with secondhand stuff though, they are susceptible to frost damage and can be expensive to repair.
  16. It's helps you to B positive.
  17. I don't think I'd even met your Dad by my tenth birthday.
  18. Ever considered a career in teaching?!
  19. Don't have much problem with either tbh. Fibre optic is a bit different, but ye olde two core phone line is about as simple as it gets.
  20. Since when have you needed a bt man to drop a phone line?
  21. Too far for me, but I would say £6-700 from the pics.
  22. Agreed. Once bitten twice shy eh?
  23. Peter

    Tpo ruling

Tut tut Mark, filling trees with concrete is outdated and barbaric in modern tree care. Expanding foam is the modern way.
  24. Underbark or overbark makes no difference so long as you negotiate the price on the correct basis beforehand.
  25. Tulipwood is from the tulip poplar, Liriodendron tulipifera. Not a true Poplar (Populus)
