  1. That makes sense! Iv used disc blades and square ones in the same machine, and much prefer square ones. You get an extra turn for one thing..... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. If you've never used square blades how would you know the discs are better? Iv used both, and I'd have the square knives every time. I don't chip any rebar though. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Agreed, arborist is far too pretentious for moi. I'm not a surgeon either, iv never performed any procedure other than multiple amputation or killing. I'm a cutter, I cut trees, either some off the top or the whole thing at the bottom. End of. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Little Birch reduction, bit less off than the customer wanted, bit more than I wanted.. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. I think most of them escaped, there may have been one or two still under there though. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Put this bendy ash through a children's play area today Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Disc blades are ok, prefer the square quad chip blades though.
  8. I think the Greenmech is the better machine, the other factor to consider is your local dealer, my advice is to get in touch with both of them and see how helpful they are.
  9. You can set them up for diesel only, fuel only, fuel and lubricants only, or anything in the shop. I know which option I'd go for if I gave one to an employee. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Has it got numbers printed on it? If so a quick google search will turnip some prices.

    Ash down?

Get someone who knows about trees to have a walk round the wood and identify any potential problem trees. This will fulfill your duty of care responsibility and is a basic minimum really to help prevent problems in the future. If you want to go a little further get a consultant to carry out an inspection and produce a written record of inspection with management recommendations. Do be aware that either way you may have to carry out remedial works, if any kind if inspection produces a recommendation which you fail to act upon you will be worse off than if you had done nothing.
  12. There was one near me a few years ago, they decided it would take so much water to put it out that it wasn't worth doing, and just let it burn out. Went on for months. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Any use? 97 R REG MAN 18 224 2 IN 1 TAR TANKER AND GRITTER LORRY (NO VAT) | eBay
  14. 2000 SCANIA 94 Diesel in Meriden | Truck Trader
  15. Would they not be on Truck Trader rather than Plant Trader?
  16. That makes sense, so are there tilt cab 811s or are they all ds?
  17. I think the 811s all have bonnets, could have been an 814 or 817. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Punt gunning? Awesome!
  19. Seconded. Most new trucks are auto now, I would go auto for preference personally. Wouldn't put a chip box and a hiab on a 7.5 tonner either, unless your talking about something really small it's going to eat up precious payload. No point trading up from a transit and then overloading the new truck. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Good work, I love crane reductions.
  21. I wouldn't say its worthless, if you can load it into a bulker with a loading shovel and tip it the other end it would be perfect for billets.
  22. I did that and had loads of problems with my email not getting through. Switched to google mail, same address, [email protected], no problems with my email getting through and not much spam either.
  23. Google mail is pretty good, and you can have your own domain name.
  24. That sounds ideal for my intended purpose, got a price? You can pm or email it to [email protected] if you don't want to post it here.
