  1. I like the ivecos, I'v just bought one myself, although mine is a tad bigger than a daily!
  2. Get a transit, I'v got a nice one I can sell you, and I hated transits before I had this one!
  3. The old LTs were good trucks, unfortunately the new ones are completely unrelated! Get a Cabstar.
  4. Yes, i notice that more accidents occur after 6pm than during any other single time slot.
  5. I'v spliced some, seems nice enough.
  6. Needs a towbar, it would be great for getting a chipper onto rough ground!
  7. How? If the rope stretches, it acts as an energy absorber, thus easing the loading on both the load and the anchor point.

  9. No 13 mm ropes here, 11.5, 11, and 10 mm all the way..... Also modern rock climbing ropes are mostly thinner than 11 mm, anything down to about 8 mm is normal.
  10. On 16 strand arb ropes yes, but on double braids the load is shared between cover and core.
  11. Too bouncy for me, I like low stretch climbing lines, otherwise you are fighting the bungee effect all the way up.
  12. And heres another one! http://hypem.com/track/738403/Calvin+Harris-I%27m+Not+Alone+%28Radio+Rip%29 Not a massive calvin fan myself, but i love the trance sound on this
  13. I had a go at making one with an 8, just with wide tape through the small eye, doubled up and stitched all the way down, terminating in a stopper. I think it would work fine, but it is a bit bulky, and it could stick in forks during retrieval.

  15. If you know anyone with an Alpine Magnum, they could walk down the corridor with the grinder tucked under one arm. No sheets, no mess. As for the arisings, get a load of those yellow bin bags, and chuck the whole lot in for incineration!
  16. Along with Ferris Beuller's Day Off?
  17. Especially Leylandii! Start stockpiling it now, and by the time people are desperate enough to buy it it will be properly seasoned!
  18. A hint of the 'frapp there methinks Ed.
  19. Hot off the presses, too new for Youtube! http://hypem.com/track/752588/Tiga-Shoes+(Produced+by+Soulwax)+(Radio+Rip)
  20. Hmm, interesting. You are quite right about it being confusing, even if the loophole exists, the chances are if you do get pulled the officer wont be properly informed about the rules. I personally would not want to get into a situation where I had to go to court to clarify the issue, whatever it was! My personal attitude to loopholes is to not bother trying to jump through hoops, which is why I'v just bought an 18 tonner, which will require o licence and tacho etc, but will never give me any problems with legislation.
  21. If you do tow, you need category C1+E on your licence, as I'm sure you're well aware. I'm only pointing these things out as your post makes it seem at lot easier than it really is, and I wouldnt want anyone getting into trouble.
  22. So you have replated at 4000kg GVW, and you are using a tachograph and have an 'O' licence then? Do you tow as well? I'd be interested to know what the gross train on that rig is.
  23. Can we have a prize for the best climber named Haine? On second thoughts, scratch that, my wife would probably win it!
  24. The dog in picture 2 was trying to outrun 2 spaniels intent on buggery.......
