  1. That is a very confusing post, what's a seek? do you mean a Sikh? Carry a knife? Knife law (UK - Guides) So I believe you will be fine with your Swiss Army Knife and what on earths a Panda got to do with anything?
  2. Well then, that's maybe for the best, glad you are getting on OK anyway.
  3. That shot shows it how it is.
  4. That will be no then.
  5. I can well appreciate that video footage whether web or high quality doesn’t always give the viewer a true perspective and appreciation of scale, dimension and distance etc, so I personally try not to be so quick judge people and their chosen methodology as you have done here. So without judging you or your suggestions, what I will say is that if I’d asked another climber to go look at that job for real, with a view to fill in and finish it for me, and he favoured a similar method to that you suggested….I’d tell him he wouldn’t now be needed and good luck with the rest of his career. Sweet!
  6. Littletree did you get some work with Jim?

  8. Word! Maybe it's like that to keep the proles away?
  9. Nice little cottage you have there Peter.
  10. Yeah Nod has the piano wire fids or you can make your own from piano wire you can get from any decent model shop. The wire is just bent in half with loops formed on the ends to provide a point to anchor from when you perform the bury, the other end forms a nice narrow loop that you can hook the cover taper on to, so rather than pushing the cover taper through you pull it through instead. New England Hi Vee is nice for first time splicing, just remember to do the bury in stages, I do it in four stages which makes it so much easier as you are not trying to pull the rope through the whole length of the splice in one go.
  11. Excellent, no room for any kind of error with that building being so close, did you pre-tension the line before lowering those blocks and is that silver pulley a CMI? Oh and is that a rescue line in the tree?
  12. Yeah I know Steve, I was a little suspicious of the thread starter not your good self.

    Cider

Sell it? No way! I need to source a good variety of apples, I have been offered all the cookers I can carry but I'm not sure how the cider would turn out, maybe a little bitter? Perhaps a mix of variety's would do the job?

I have a press, been putting off manufacture for the last five years, maybe this year is the year.
  15. I would contact Nod for information.
  16. I would go to a Stihl dealer for a piston, for a 44 a piston and rings is around sixty quid so one for yours would be a little more, the cylinder though, I would, as others have said try ebay as a new one is expensive, you can try Bailey's - Chainsaw Parts > Piston & Cylinder Kits > Cylinder Kits for Stihl for a new one or a new non factory item. How bad is the original cylinder? I have managed to salvage a damaged cylinder on a friends 044 and Peter did the same on a 066.
  17. I will be there.
  18. Why was I expecting that?
  19. I would like to know how many TM users have received a healthy twang on the arse when the elastic between the leg straps and the harness get's caught on something?
  20. What kind of rates do they pay?
  21. Hmm, I wonder, somethings not right here.
  22. Very nicely presented Reg, another simple but effective device.
  23. Nice job, I stripped my machine down when I got it as it had a broken shaft but I got my local TW dealer to put the bearings on and balance it.
  24. HUSQVARNA T435 - Chainsaws I would always pay the extra for a pro saw like a MS200T.
  25. I like the guy on the left leaning right over the saw.
