    I know I am not one to preach about grammer and spelling but if you use Firefox there is a spell check available. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/spell-checker/ I just had to check my spelling of available.

    Double braid is easy compared to 16 strand, used 16 strand is not easy at all, I would try on new rope first otherwise you can quickly lose motivation.

    Euro model is not fitted with one.

    Hmm, it can be difficult to get a nice smooth cross over on 16 strand, pull the same amount of core as cover and taper both the same amount, older, used rope is always more tricky to splice and to get a smooth finish, keep trying though, it takes practise.

    The wand is excellent but I use a wire fid more.

    I use 5-4 -4 -5 -4-4 -5 for 24 strand double braid. For 20 strand I use 5 - 4 - 5 - 4 - 5 - 4. 24 x rope diameter.
