  1. Reduced three Sycamores yesterday SRT and then a tall Lime deadwood, climbed double rope, natural crotch for old time sake and wished I hadn't.
  2. 18, cough.
  3. Mmmm, nice, I always splice a nice big eye on my rigging lines.
  4. Yeah but you're a pro!
  5. Nice one Rich, not seen that before.
  6. Oh:001_huh:
  7. Cheers Mike, do we need a ticket to operate a grease gun? Will my insurer pay out if I accidentally get grease on somebody's nice new jumper?
  8. The roller bearings are made of plastic. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
  9. Shows the slack tending well.
  10. I use my Big Shot as I am hopeless at throwing a line the traditional way.
  11. Yep.
  12. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/37842-leaving-australia-any-advice.html
  13. If he is he's five years older.
  14. New one on me!
  15. Oh I read erratic idle.
  16. LiveLeak.com - Redefining the Media
  17. I loved the way they all piled into him with bar stools when he went down, muppet.
  18. Check the clutch springs also.
  19. I had the same misgivings but now the only time I use ddrt is to change TIP's.
  20. Looks like a Sala harness on that dummy.
  21. I tried 13mm and found the same thing, I have been using Tachyon with various cords and they all work really well, I was working for a guy on Thursday who likes to have set breaks through out the day which means I have to climb the tree three times from top to bottom (annoying) as well as around the tree, it was a very big Ash and normally using ddrt I would be knackered by the end of the day but with the wrench and a hand ascender I still felt fresh at days end.
  22. Great snedding saw to keep by the chipper.
  23. Can anybody recommend a course/courses to get qualified in saw/power tools maintainence?
  24. I was thinking of adding my Wichard Large Bail Snap Shackle to the mix, not sure if I could be bothered with splicing a 6mm cord Craig!
  25. I just got a DMM thimble to add to my wrench, I will be putting a longer tether on to replace the one that Luke at Treestuff sent me as it's got a little Silky knick and it's also a little short for me,(I keep getting the tips of my gloves caught) I'm climbing everyday now with the Wrench and have been for a while, both pruning and removals, it really has been a good learning curve and I have found that I am far less fatigued at the end of the day.
