  1. Works long but better short.
  2. Sounds like you were lucky it was on site at all.
  3. Hmm, going to try this out, good stiffness, looks neat, just the lock stitching and whipping to do.
  4. Good stuff and a fine day for it.
  5. Meanwhile, I just shuffle around a tree pretty much the same way that I have been, only on a single rope and without all the hyperbole.
  6. I'm going back on 10mm 3 strand with a hand spliced prussik.
  7. Yikes! You still in Nippon Paul?
  8. I have enough bits to build a couple more 020ts, it's just finding the time.
  9. I agree, the highest pulley takes the majority of the load.
  10. I just spike around the tree the same pulling in the slack, I do wear Pantin over spikes when needed.
  11. I've been experimenting with tether length, the original tether was fine but a little short, I was finding that my glove tips kept getting caught between the hitch and RW, annoying and the short length didn't suit my gibbon like, long arm style.
  12. Yeah that's how I used to have it.
  13. Trying some Globe out.
  14. What's this 'Radio One'?
  15. Yup, what Jamie said.
  16. Sounds like the guy running the course has no idea what Celox is which maybe why he said not to use it? I have the same course coming up I will have to ask the same question.
  17. OK, so after having a chat with a very Knowledgeable person this morning I have had my mind changed about the RW not being PPE, I now understand that it is and should be classed as PPE as it is part of a system, ie, RW and the hitch, none will work without the other. Thanks Tim for asking this question.
  18. Contact Nod at Treeworker, he has a double braid splicing workshop up coming.
  19. Just the old stuff mate.
  20. How many cover strands should come out on the new construction?
  21. Is that Elderid Hadders? Very tight in the cross over.
  22. CE certification costs a lot of money.
