  1. I'll get my son to tell them about Vodafone. Silly me they all ready know.
  2. That seems steep, I just did my 38 and 39 and it cost £190. Of course I was offered 'training' but why on earth would I need that? 20 years working as a climber is all the training I needed.
  3. I bet the guy who took the picture and reported the gardener thinks that he's some kind of hero.
  4. That's a good question.
  5. Not sure what class. Freeworker - Pfanner Globe Kletterhose Stretch-Air Outdoorhose - climb up high!
  6. Three Knot system, I just did it, the 38. Never used it in the field. Marlin spike for attachment of tools I suppose?
  7. Two ropes, four ends, the possibility's??.
  8. Looks ok from here.
  9. Ah Tim, I get you now. Nice picture!
  10. I would do it like Giorgio.
  11. Biggest Planes I have seen are in Bath, Circus and Sydney gardens, massive trees.
  12. Indeed, we were talking rigging not Quickdraws for PPE.
  13. Ha John, beat you to it!
  14. A larks foot will weaken the sling but not as much as a knot, I know you are using the slings for light rigging which is fine and the knots would really not be a concern but tying knots in slings is not needed. You could even try cinching the sling onto the biner with a tough piece of rubber, bike inner tube for example, then your biner will stay in line and the sling will have no strengh loss.
  15. Yeah but why tie a knot in a sling? There is no need and it's bad practice IMO.
  16. Why not just choke them on the biners?
  17. I liked the Gravely, bit heavy mind.
  18. Cover only break tests on 5/16 Beeline by a very experienced splicer. 1st test - 5227lbs 2nd test- 5298lbs Just the cover, not the core. Wow!
  19. All Seasons.
  20. One of the trees has a rock climbing spike on one of the long limbs that was put there before we did the trees, it's a long slippy branch walk. Midland doing the work?
