  2. If you don't fully cook the porriage it allows you to eat more with equal volume as it slowly expands in you gut. Works for me as i stopped eating it for the same issue your having until this was shown to me

  5. How do you know my mum?
  6. hahaha that's ace
  7. For this to be discussed fully I'd start a new thread. There are different opinions and too much to discus in this one
  8. Both my blaze ropes have milked. i just make a habit of drawing the friction hitch right off the end of the rope when I see it happening. Gently however as you you don't want to stretch the sheath just settle it down. Good rope - the problem will not persist long
  9. Out of interest could everyone who has had hospital treatment for a cut with a handsaw post also. they can be as dangerous as a power saw
  10. That's some big timber/trees. What kind of weight were those stems you were cutting?
  11. I replied whilst in a tree, but was with a top handled saw. Good poll, i'm interested in seeing the results.
  12. So no NPTC, then who do you go to as an employer, with a duty of care to train and certify your staff? Or do you just pass them a saw and hope for the best? What if you are a contractor who has to demonstate his competence before he commences work? As for the money, you will find that a small portion goes to NPTC...........
  13. Or how stupid people are who choose not to read there legislation incorrectly? I will support the system as without one we will be in a much poorer position, although it's failings are obvious.
  14. huh? i guess your expert opinion differs............
  15. I'm looking for a self employed 2nd climber/groundie to work for me on a part time basis. Imediate state preferable. Rates dependant on experiance PM me for further details Pete

  17. In your dreams, i'd have felled it and sold them the logs
  18. cut it in half- at least the owners will get value for money:001_tongue: oh sorry is this another tedeous "bash those with hideous pruning ideals" thread? If so, thin, balancing the heavy side by thinning out the longest laterals thus avoiding heading cuts:001_cool:
  19. Nice smooth work, with some well balanced picks. Looked a fair sized crane, how big and what was your lift at that distance?
  20. Trees don't require managment!!!! We manage them for our own needs, be it a crop or part of our enviroment, or in the case of tree worker our income.
  21. I like trees but i prefer pretty ladies! You did ask:001_tongue:
  22. As they are woking on a commercial site- i.e. your woodland make sure they provide the required documents, insurance etc or make them engage a contractor to do the works. make sure they provide the required paperwork too. Hit them in the wallet, plus they have already proved themselves incompetant to carry out the work. If they refuse just call the police
  23. Can you import the pic Jason- some of us don't visit AS
  24. A helmet rash at anytime of the year sounds unpleasant:scared1:
