  1. It has been noticed that people, although willing to duck under tape, barriers etc , do not like lifting there feet up. I find a few bushy branches to supplement the usual cordons really helps as the muppets seem to stop & scream when they reach them
  2. Does the krab not flap about in that configuration Paul? It would drive me mad having to sort it out & re-orientate it all the time
  3. Sorry - cut the rest of my post off for some reason. Was asking why metal on metal is bad for light rigging
  4. Please explain why metal on metal is bad
  5. Sorry, no idea- I have not compared them to anything else
  6. Best for me - such an individual thing. They might be the worst fit for you
  7. Used anything from chain oil, veg oil to expensive products. As long as you do something they will be fine. Got to clean out the welts & brush them off on a regular basis
  8. Not as heavy as you think. Great boots - I have worn them for years. I usually get 2 to 3 years out of a pair
  9. Skyhigh-arb, why do you not invite Redwood/forst to this discussion? If you are prepared to air your grievances publicly then they should be allowed to reply. I do not mean to degrade your grievance as I would be less reserved than yourself.
  10. I run the clarkes on larger bars - never had a problem with it
  11. What this man says & it's approx £1 a litre
  12. Tall trees & some tidy cutting there
  13. Signage is invisible to some people & instructions are to be ignored. This is the price that is payed for there actions
  14. Rest of us flip out over a tuppence !!
  15. But your from Leeds - that's as posh as it gets in Yorkshire - people have to loose a full 5p before sweating & blind panic starts
  16. I stand corrected
  17. I thought they were for cutting scrub - nowhere near long enough for cross cutting by the looks of it
  18. Some cracking tree work right there
  19. Was it a LANTRA approved course/training centre? If so, then they will be the first people to contact
  20. I'd feel dirty & sullied buying one - like buying a copy of the daily mail
  21. What is wrong with supplying proof of competence I.e. Tickets before purchase? Oh & eddy-t, that is the most ill considered & nieve post I have read for a while. The basic ergonomics & handling properties of a climbing saw make both the chance of kickback with incorrect technique high, but also the compact nature means that when it does occur it is difficult to control.
  22. A friend in guisborough has been targeted over the weekend too. Pulled there hoods up, covered there faces & went to work, ignoring the cameras. Things were well locked down so they only got a couple of blowers, but we know they will be back!!!
  23. From a walk on the estate the other week And a couple
  24. Crew here. I find zips annoying - especially when used to trap beards & or chest hair
