  1. You can always put in a request for him to contact you, again you have to go through the switchboard. I don't know of a direct line.
  2. Another thing that will help you, is to develop a strong relationship with your boss. It is all well & good working hard to form a strong team framework, but if you are not supported by or your decisions are undermined by your manager, then your authority is worthless. He needs to have trust in you & your decision making & vice versa.
  3. I always liked this;
  4. That looks great to me. I am learning to sharpen square ground & it is not easy maintaining a clean angle from the top corner of the cutter.
  5. I also find there lack of heel, especially when worn, a real issue with spikes staying in place. As was said, each to there own, but they are overrated imho
  6. Old man sharpening aid from lidl:)
  7. How can a brand be responsible for this? Surely another manufacturer would fill the void. The actions of the individuals - most definitely driven by poverty are the issue & should be addressed, not the tool of whatever make
  8. I have a range of rigging kit & if anything other than my rigging rope come out then I charge a little more. Like I do for the use of the 660 or 084. I negotiate everything with those who I work for before I bring anything. If everyone you work for has rigging kit then save your money imho
  9. Fantastic setup Tom. I would have killed for the use of that over the last couple of days
  10. I usually elevate the bore cut to the same height as the back cut if possible - 6 & two 3's really 7 monster transit loads today from a beech & a lime - glad we did not have to ring it all up !!
  11. Bit of a mismatch on the bore cut height, but tidy Pete. A couple of 12ft chunks I had to pull with the loader - just shy of 3ft diameter, so the groundies heard my full range of vocab as I hauled the 660 up there !
  12. I looked at those yesterday John - shame that they have sold out. Are the worth waiting for?
  13. Lives & breathes at last. Been a fun project & the porting has made some real gains in performance. Frankensaw used 4 old 200t/020t's & about 15 man hours
  14. Nice work Matty. Some creative rigging
  15. H&S aside, the contractors were inconsiderate. I have often cut footpaths off for short term jobs, which did not merit full TM. However, it is easy enough to help & manage pedestrians with little effort & some vigilance. Common sense really
  16. I seldom reduce trees (not my favourite job either), but I did enjoy reducing this ash today. It was about 20m, so not massive. Sorry no before shot
  17. I need a new flywheel & petrol tank for the ms200t I am working on. I have the equivalent parts on old 020t spares saws & the question is, are they compatable?
  18. That how you do your hedge reductions then:001_tt2:
  19. Thanks for that. Might have to ask someone who knows:thumbup1: Was only going to increase Exhaust port opening, open up carb inlet size, but not at pot side. I had already measured up & seen that widening would be tricky. Not sure what I could do with the transfers, but the piston could definitely stand some tidying up.
  20. Finished it this afternoon- done the muffler too. Will split that & port it later this week. Will attack the pot with a dremel whilst it's off. Not in a measured Spud way - more crazed tree monkey style
  21. Getting there. Dremel-tastic:thumbup:
  22. Started cleaning this up
  23. Kind of interesting [ame] [/ame]
  24. I'd go for the 066 - a step up in power from the 064 & parts will be much easier to acquire as a lot are interchangeable with the ms660
  25. Glad I did not have to clean the pot!!!
