  1. If my back doesn't ease off before the show i'll be the one in a mobility scooter
  2. You seem a bit detached from reality on this one. There will he plenty of people who will he in energy poverty as you put it. You can be as careful as you like with how much energy you use, that doesn’t change the fact that the standard charges have also gone up…those you can do nothing about
  3. I’d like to move from by to Vodafone, but everything works well at the moment. Have great speed and have good speed in the outside office thanks to a chain of extenders: Vodafone would be a lot cheaper but don’t want to risk ending up with a poorer service
  4. Windows we’re all wooden back then also. The condensation must have been a killer for rot
  5. I’d totally forgotten till my parents mentioned it the other day but now remember it crystal clear. Who else had poor man’s double glazing? By that I mean plastic sheets gagged taped to the inside of the window frame 😂
  6. Please list what you will accept
  7. Has to be blanket, how else do you decide who gets it without an indepth investigation into each case? an example is the £400 credit to the council tax bill that our neighbours in a 3 bedroom house got but we missed out on in our 4 bedroom house. Pretty confident their income is significantly higher than mine
  8. British gas set up a direct debit without our approval and started deducting £200 a month for our electricity! We were one of the ones that were automatically moved to them after our previous supplier went bankrupt. We are in a good position with our gas at the moment as our whole estate is on Calor gas. This is typically more expensive than main gas, but there is some sort of contract running for the estate currently that caps the price. Im not sure how much longer thats going to last though.
  9. Cooking my own breakfast is a thing of the past now I’ve discovered this bad boy….only £4.50!
  10. Beings as they have a camping area (albeit fully booked) I’d imagine you’d get turfed out of the car park by the security guards. Don’t really know though
  11. It’s the queue getting into the show itself that’s normally a nightmare
  12. Nothing wrong with Thursdays. People pay a lot of money for their stands so I wouldn't expect anyone to start off the first the day with an incomplete display.
  13. Well she has to do that at a minimum. Should also reverse them a little. People cant afford them as it is.
  14. Bump, must be more of you out there I’m sure

you've not stated what type of waste you'll take
  16. You have to wonder what it is the banks know that we don’t if they are offering better deals on a 5 year mortgage than a 2 year one Homeowners rush to five-year mortgages as rates fall below two-year deals APPLE.NEWS Interest rates are expected to soar in 2023
  17. There’s also some people who just hate the idea of giving something away for free and will quite happily go out of their way to keep something for themselves even if it actually ends up costing them more
  18. even for a big company who processes and sells their timber, at what point does it become more profitable to just give it away for free? If you’re faced with an hour long round trip back to your yard, plus the possibility that you’re leaving a couple guys on site with not much to do as they have no vehicle to chip into or load with wood…well that also makes giving it away for free more attractive
  19. I’ve now removed trigger from the conversion so the adults can carry on
  20. Cherry trees are reknowned for sending up suckers. Felling the tree will only encourage more../it’s the trees last ditch attempt at surviving. Grinding out the root isn’t going to stop that unless you chased out every single lateral root which likely covers most of your mothers garden. did your mothers watering increase the growth of the suckers and feeder roots? Of course, plants need water so of course they are going to benefit from it. is the tree surgeon blaming your mum a legitimate reason? Well it’s a bit over the top, might have been better to admit that removing the stump won’t necessarily stop suckering. good advice in this thread about using roundup. Might take a few hits but will eventually do the job. aside from that I’m not sure what you’re trying to achieve by demonising the tree surgeons who carried out the removal. I doubt they are going to jail. There’s a slim outside chance that they might have to run away and join the foreign legion, but quite unlikely
  21. Because the government have a duty to provide free transport for kids. If you choose to send your kid to a school that’s outside of the catchment then the cost is on you. So it’s perhaps these busses that have been cancelled. Not saying it’s ok
