  1. Welcome to this years Arbtalk Christmas raffle Tickets are officially on sale as of today, December 22nd, and will be on sale up till January 15th 2016. Once again Arbtalk is proud to announce the launch of this years charity raffle, with some new sponsors and amazing prizes we hope this will be as successful as previous years. As usual, all proceeds will be going to www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk. This charity was chosen by the members here at arbtalk 8 years ago by means of a poll and has become the chosen benefactor of all our charity fund raising events since, with an overall total raised in this time adding up to just over £50,000! Please note this is a private raffle open to Arbtalk members only. If you are not already a member we welcome you to join now and participate. It takes only a few minutes to register. Please note prizes can only be sent out within the UK. The raffle costs £5 per ticket. The ticket buying process is simple, click on the link at the bottom of this post where you will be taken to The Childrens Trust's secure payment page. Your ticket numbers will be given to you directly from the childrens trust via the email you receive after making your donation. IMPORTANT-As there is a possible gain to be made from your donation it is not eligible for gift aid. Please leave this box unchecked. Thank you. Please be sure to put your Arbtalk username(not your own name) in the appropriate box. As always the sponsors here have been very generous and we have a great prize list again this year. You can see the full list of prizes below, and in addition to this you can view the individual sponsors threads in the raffle forum for a full break down of prizes. Please note many of the images shown are multiple prizes, so worth browsing the individual threads also. Any problems or issues with anything above please do not hesitate to ask for help. Happy browsing, and best of luck to everyone. ** TICKET SALES ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS YEARS EVENT **
  2. Welcome to Ruskin Lifting Engineers
  3. rock climbing is proper climbing. Tree climbing is just rope climbing for the most part, totally different. His strength from rock climbing will be a huge bonus though.
  4. Possibly Cornwall for me, although the tourists would do my head in during the summer.
  5. I agree, the integration isn't the best and am looking at new alternatives, easier said than done though.
  6. Nothings wrong Jon, that was my point. His advert had 152 views in 24 hours, not particularly bad in my books
  7. You're right, it's only had 152 views since yesterday
  8. there was already an aldi in stow, they closed it down. Can't imagine they'd try again
  9. i just noticed that yesterday. Its a massive site. Housing i'd guess
  10. Its no coincidence they build Lidl the side of town that they did
  11. yes they are. Good point. Make sure you order the right size
  12. Never tried the aluminiums, but in theory they should be no less comfortable than the carbons. I started of in steel Kleins, never found the weight to be an issue at all, just the general discomfort of the spikes. The carbons are cool, but if not in your budget the aluminiums are just as good.
  13. Geckos. Don't budget on spikes either. They directly mess your body up if you get the wrong ones.
  14. its been particularly mild here today, 15 degrees I think
  15. I'm sure with your receipt they will be reasonable. Regarding the fine itself though I don't think it's an unreasonable policy. In my experience locally, unlike the bigger supermarkets, Aldis are generally closer to town centres. They would be inundated with people using their car parks whilst they went to work for the day if they didn't do this.
  16. Keeping an eye on this fresh thread as I'm finally going to give srt a bit of attention in the new year
  17. try it, it will be awesome fun. wont be as easy as running a smaller saw though and you'll probbaly find you get more chain stretch that normal. Push the boat out and source a 9 rim sprocket if its available
  18. technically hard yes, but for sales purposes i'd be more comfortable classifying it as a softwood personally
  19. You still need to be half decent looking
  20. Can't really give any of the details that you're after, but I have driven both the cargo and leyland roadrunner, and I would opt for the roadrunner every time. Its a nicer drive IMO. The Cargo feels like a massive lump in comparison.
