  1. Doesn't sound nice mate, hope its nothing too serious. I guess a battery blower is next on your list then?
  2. zigzag for me every time! Knots do feel nice in the hand but they are not as efficient as the zigzag IMO
  3. It certainly does! But as I don't own my own chipper, and I'm earning a day rate, works out better for me doing it this way on this occasion
  4. Been a busy couple days cutting. Tracked chipper coming Thursday and Friday, going to be a busy couple days
  5. Because you get to lay on grass in your ruby slippers?
  6. Nice job mate, bet shes chuffed
  7. yep doubled rope. Its an old rope, been around for years. And it doesn't feel anything like 11.1mm in the hand, more like 11.7mm really. And as to why I like it so much, I guess because at the time I was using it I found a real sweet combination between that and some cheap as chips marlow double braid I found at the local chandlers. Keep meaning to buy some more.
  8. Sounds like just bad luck to me!
  9. Lovely little private job I have on for the week, and its right on my doorstep, only half mile down the road. I'm biking to work the rest of the week which is quite a novelty!
  10. Its all ok, because if you lock your ankles round the tree you have an insurance policy. I think he's covered it pretty well really
  11. Scorcher of a day here. I have this little clearance project to keep me busy this week
  12. It was 37 meters I believe I held a pole onto the main stem with some cheap luggage ratchets, perhaps thats whats there. I wanted to take it down at the end of the day but the owner said he quite liked it up there. When I mentioned it again a while after he said he thought it had come down already.
  13. Makita were well ahead of the game with these. Pretty sure it must have been around 18 years ago now when I first saw these being demonstrated at the APF by our very own Craig(judge). Surprising they let Stihl and Husqvarna overtake them when they had such a head start.
  14. brilliant saws, only downside is they make your ms201t feel real heavy afterwards!
  15. It's a great rope, one of my faves. Not used it set yet though
  16. Well done mate. Let's see if we can't make it a million
  17. My cambium saver? Shouldnt be one up there. I stuck a flag up there and they asked me to leave it, but then told me someone had got it down??
  18. there will be plenty of dealers with different harnesses to try on, go see them all
  19. Looks like there was a fair lean on that one Rob? They are horrible enough to do when they are upright!
  20. I won't be able to make it there this year unfortunately. Its a nice show though, great for the family. They have some awesome trees on the site. Which ones are you going to be using?
  21. I'll be there, not decided where I'm staying yet though. No stand for me this year, too busy
