  1. Not modded Carl, although its on my list of wants! I have a collection of saws that spuds going to get from me one of these days. 5 are sitting in bits currently, and counting
  2. I think this might be it Carl, although the chain hasn't been loosening up thinking about it, so it would seem it was getting oil? I will look tomorrow.
  3. My 150 is smoking...a lot, pouring out from the underside of the saw after approx 15 minutes use. Running Aspen so fuel shouldn't be the issue. Saw seems to be oiling fine. Anything obvious it could be please?
  4. This about sums it up for me... 'it might not be faster in every situation but its way cooler and shoots higher'
  5. That looks fun! Cheers for the update
  6. One of those random tit bits of advice you can only find on arbtalk As well as being one of the most overpriced showering sponges on the market, the reverse side of the manwasher just happens to be about the best thing I have found for effortlessly scrubbing leylandi and pine sap from your forearms, just thought i'd share Lynx Manwasher Shower Tool Pack of 2 | eBay
  7. Interesting. I find it hard enough just to push through a piece of regular 11.7mm let alone one with a splice on it, of any time.
  8. no an eye won't fit through the zigzag
  9. kingswood are a very reputable company here in the uk, you could do far worse than one of their courses
  10. this threads about average working wages, what it should really be focussng on is the business model of firms in the uk. This is where the problem clearly is. More education is needed regarding running a business. This is more important IMO than any CS course in running a chainsaw, any diploma in aboriculture. This industry is formed from the ground up by passionate arborists who love their job and the lifestyle that goes with it, but thats not sustainable. The sooner people realise that the better.
  11. Cool and yes im sure plenty did buy says, but didn't see the usual quantity being carried around the showground, that was my point. Let us know how you get on with the Echo. I meant to get to their stand actually to look at hedgecutters. I did make it to the makita stand though and think I will be ordering a dolmar hedgecutter from Shavey in due course, it looked a nice piece of kit.
  12. Recognise it. Is it really dense? Worked on one not so long ago but can't remember its name. I may as well have just not even posted actually for all the help iv'e given!
  13. Nice vid. Hows the bulldog bone Ddrt?
  14. So another record? Congratulations. It really was hard to make out how busy the show was, was it spread out further than last year? One thing that was noticeable(and confirmed by a couple of dealers I spoke to) was the lack of people walking around the show with new chainsaw purchases. Obviously thats not down to your organisation though, touch economy I guess and the APF this year all play a part, along with machines available at show rates all year round thanks to the internet.
  15. Yep weather was a nice surprise compared to the forecast
  16. What were the final numbers, do you know?
  17. Hi Paul, Good to see you as always. I enjoyed the show personally. Its always hard to really judge how best these things can be set up. Theres always quiet patches around the showground it seems, or maybe its just a timing thing, or everywhere I go everyone else vacates, I don't know! Can't fault it though, everyone was there who should have been, what more can you ask for?
  18. That looks lovely, wish i'd gone. And I don't mean for the food
